Wednesday, Sep 14, 2016 - Posted by Rich Miller * Check out Brownie’s comment on this Republican state Senate candidate’s Facebook post…  The campaign video includes a plug for Madigan’s chain of BBQ restaurants. * But the candidate is having serious trouble making people understand he’s not that Mike Madigan. I guess we can just count on the other Mike Madigan being dependent on outside income for his retirement.
I’m sure that won’t create any pressure to be open to lucrative opportunities presented to him as a legislator that aren’t in the best interest of the people.

Kind of reminds me of when Jack Ryan ran for the Senate in the wake of the George Ryan scandal. Of course the details of his child custody suite led to the ultimate demise of his candidacy but the Ryan name put him behind the 8 ball to begin with.
