Who says the House Democrats don’t do social media?
Wednesday, Sep 14, 2016 - Posted by Rich Miller * Check out Brownie’s comment on this Republican state Senate candidate’s Facebook post… The campaign video includes a plug for Madigan’s chain of BBQ restaurants. * But the candidate is having serious trouble making people understand he’s not that Mike Madigan. From comments… Sigh.

When your “Fire Madigan” burns your own Madigan…
This comment is brought to you by Madigan BBQ…

I guess we can just count on the other Mike Madigan being dependent on outside income for his retirement.
I’m sure that won’t create any pressure to be open to lucrative opportunities presented to him as a legislator that aren’t in the best interest of the people.

Kind of reminds me of when Jack Ryan ran for the Senate in the wake of the George Ryan scandal. Of course the details of his child custody suite led to the ultimate demise of his candidacy but the Ryan name put him behind the 8 ball to begin with.

He should just do a further “blending” of his business and his run for office-
“I’m the Hickory River Mike Madigan!”

@Oswego willy will the other Mike madigan have his own other Steve brown too?
- Oswego Willy - Wednesday, Sep 14, 16 @ 10:31 am:
That’s a good question.
However, there’s only one… Steve Brown.
Reminds me of the Jamie Foxx “cell phone” commercial with all these other “Jamie Foxx” spokespeople.

It is a lot like the sheer genius of runnin’ jRYAN right after George — at least in this race they have devoted any precious BigBrain moolah — but the chow is great. And very smart for the GOPies to convince Capt Fax this was a good topic for comment BTW BBQ Mike has a spot in Peoria too/

My college roommate was yet another other Mike Madigan. He lives out West; it’s fun to show up at his place wearing a “Fire Madigan” t-shirt.

A great ad - now will state workers and their families, and those greatly affected by the Runaground agenda refuse to patronize the place? Gotta put your money where your mouth is.

I have a friend in Chicago who shares a name with a member of a prominent family in the city. He makes the dinner reservations. It’s fun to see the dejection in the host’s eyes when we check in.
- thechampaignlife - Wednesday, Sep 14, 16 @ 11:42 am:
Maybe he should have run using his middle name instead of his first name. Still might have some Madigan stigma but not quite as much.
- Jackie - Wednesday, Sep 14, 16 @ 12:19 pm:
Was the Brown love supposed to highlight his alleged genius?
- Cubs in '16 - Wednesday, Sep 14, 16 @ 12:22 pm:
Mike, have your first name legally changed to “Fire”. I’ll be awaiting your call to discuss the terms of my campaign mgmt position.

===supposed to highlight his alleged genius? ===
Um, no. It was supposed to be a joke, genius.

I wonder what percentage of the public falls into the Idiot/bully/troll category? Similiar results happended to NYJ WR Brandon Marshall within the last week after Denver LB Brandon Marshall took a knee during the National Anthem for the NFL opener.
- Ron Burgundy - Wednesday, Sep 14, 16 @ 4:24 pm:
He needs to create an Extreme BBQ Sauce.
- 4 percent - Wednesday, Sep 14, 16 @ 6:37 pm:
We need BBQ to go with the Oberweis ice cream. Senate caucus would be more appealing.
