They put the demonstration zone on the driving range. Heh.

    Fore!

  2. - Ron Burgundy - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 10:46 am:

Apparently this is not the Heavily Armed Rowdy Demonstration Zone…

  3. - Belle - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 10:48 am:

I want to whoop it up so where is the Non-peaceful demonstration zone?

  4. - AC - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 10:53 am:

Because AutoZone isn’t the only one who can tell you to “Get in the zone!”

  5. - walker - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 10:58 am:

    Home, home on the plains.

  6. - Gruntled University Employee - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 10:58 am:

As opposed to the Hateful Fundraiser Zone.

  7. - Anon221 - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 10:58 am:

Belle- Inside. At the fundraiser. It’ll be HUUUGE! /s

  8. - the Other Anonymous - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 11:00 am:

Did you have to go through a corn maze to find it?

  9. - AC - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 11:00 am:

Where’s the “weeping at the sad state of our democracy” zone?

  10. - Dome Gnome - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 11:02 am:

“There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.”

  11. - Give Me A Break - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 11:04 am:

I guess you could say the two guys in the pic are “outstanding in their field”.

Reserved parking for the trash can van

  14. - wordslinger - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 11:09 am:

    What’s with the no-gun bug?

I’m sure NRA-endorsed Trump will object on principle to law-abiding citizens being prevented from exercising both their First and Second-Amendment rights outside his funder.

The NRA didn’t have a problem with armed protesters outside Obama rallies, if I recall.

  15. - JCS - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 11:10 am:

There must have been some kind of an error, we were booked for the Turbulent Protest Zone.

  16. - AlfondoGonz - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 11:11 am:

There is no such joy at the fundraiser as there is upon the zone thereto.

  17. - SAP - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 11:14 am:

Trunp: This event will give me a “Bolingbrook Bounce” in the polls and it’s going to be so beautiful.

  18. - Ron Burgundy - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 11:24 am:

“They put the demonstration zone on the driving range. Heh.”

Was originally the skeet range, but cooler heads apparently prevailed.

  19. - Amalia - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 11:25 am:

    storm clouds gathering

  20. - Rabid - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 11:34 am:

Other side “keep off the grass”

  21. - TinyDancer(FKASue) - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 11:41 am:

    Achtung:

All others report to the Eagles Nest.

  22. - @MisterJayEm - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 11:44 am:

    A sign but no wall?

    Sad.

All others report to the Eagles Nest.–

Was the J. Dennis Hastert Room not available?

  26. - Anonymous - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 11:58 am:

Does that mean you won’t get punched out by a Trump supporter?

  27. - Mama Retired - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 11:59 am:

I noticed no one showed up. Maybe the “Peaceful Zone” sign scared them away.

  28. - Rabid - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 12:00 pm:

    Goldberg grass weaving seminar

  29. - West Side The Best Side - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 12:02 pm:

“I’ve talked to some unknown person on the Bolingbrook PD who told me the area is teeming with demonstrators and I should cancel, so I will. That person also told me how to end crime.”

  30. - Empty Suit - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 12:05 pm:

All others pay cash..or get your legs broke

  31. - TinyDancer(FKASue) - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 12:08 pm:

=Was the J. Dennis Hastert Room not available?=

There was no “room” in the Hastert room………
    It’s only 6 x 8.

  32. - wordslinger - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 12:09 pm:

“That person also told me how to end crime.”

Actually, Trump claimed a “high-ranking” CPD official told him he could end violence in the city “in a week,” but Trump did not ask him how “because I’m not mayor of Chicago.”

    Not very curious.

  33. - A guy - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 12:09 pm:

    See, it’s a wedge issue.

  34. - Rabid - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 12:09 pm:

    Bears end zone

  35. - IllinoisBoi - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 12:34 pm:

The right of the people peaceably to assemble shall not be abridged — as long as they assemble invisibly out in the middle of freakin’ nowhere.

  36. - Beeker - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 12:46 pm:

Like any protest area the left occupies, I’m sure this will be littered with garbage afterwards. Can’t be bothered to use a trash can. Funny how Tea Party rallies, for example, were always left neat and tidy - and had proper, paid permits. Forward!

  37. - Anonymous - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 12:58 pm:

wordslinger beat me to the punch with his comment about NRA backed Trump denying the 2nd amendment rights of average Americans.

  38. - 47th Ward - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 12:59 pm:

===Funny how Tea Party rallies, for example, were always left neat and tidy - and had proper, paid permits.===

Lol! You read that on Facebook, didn’t you?

  39. - Beeker - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 1:07 pm:

47: no. I do not use Facebook.

  40. - Rabid - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 1:11 pm:

Kirk jart rally and swap meet

  41. - 47th Ward - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 1:15 pm:

Whoever told you that story, about protesters on the left littering and those on the right cleaning up after themselves, was pulling your leg Beeker. I saw it Facebook a long time ago. It wasn’t true then, it’s not true now.

  42. - Jocko - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 1:21 pm:

    –Beeker @ 12:46 pm ==

Do me a favor and type “Cars Parked For Trump Rally Damage Headstones at Local Cemetery”

  43. - Ron Burgundy - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 1:25 pm:

“Bolingbrook Country Club: Now With More Putz!”

  44. - Jake From Elwood - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 1:43 pm:

The Message is Loud and Claar.

  45. - Ron O - now in Texas - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 2:21 pm:

I doubt the campaign put that up. I am sure the venue did it (and I’m sure the Illinois legal anti-gun/gun free zone sign is even legally binding)

  46. - Ron O - now in Texas - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 2:22 pm:

It should have said “I’m NOT sure the Illinois legal anti-gun/gun free zone sign is even legally binding”

  47. - Boone's is Back - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 3:01 pm:

“I love the peaceful demonstration zone, I own property there”

  48. - GlimmerGirl - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 3:12 pm:

    No tiny guns allowed.

  49. - IllinoisBoi - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 3:57 pm:

    ==No tiny guns allowed.==

How appropriate for a Trump rally.

  50. - Touré's Latte - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 4:00 pm:

    ==- wordslinger - Wednesday, Sep 28, 16 @ 11:09 am: What’s with the no-gun bug?==

Pretty sure that’s some Claar humor on display.
