good god, more waiting, and whining. just win so those of us who are not for the Cubbies (gak) can stop hearing that.

  2. - cdog - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 10:19 am:

Wait for the hacked emails to surface, proving collusion between the media and the officials. Then will see what everyone says about conspiracies….
    /s

  3. - RNUG - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 10:22 am:

The problem last night, pure and simple, was lack of hitting on the Cubs part. No need to invent conspiracy theories …

  4. - illini97 - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 10:24 am:

The whole thing is rigged by the mainstream media…but also the umpires…SAD!

I’m not even going to say this, because it is too shocking, but I believe the Dodgers are having relations with MLB officials. Not going to say it. BAD!

  5. - Boone's is Back - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 10:28 am:

If the announcers didn’t spend so much time focusing on the Cubs’ errors then he would’ve seen all the ones from the Dodgers. Sad!

  6. - JS Mill - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 10:28 am:

I hear the Dodgers and their fans are bad people, very bad, horrible people.

I am not saying that, but that is what I hear all the time.

  7. - Oneman - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 10:34 am:

You shouldn’t listen to FS1 anyway, get your information from the Internets…

  8. - Molly Maguire - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 10:40 am:

plus one to the both of them. good clean humor

  9. - The_Equalizer - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 10:40 am:

Unbelievable NO interviews of players from last Cubs World Series winner! Mainstream media conspiracy. SAD!

  10. - Bogey Golfer - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 10:44 am:

And before game 3, the Dodgers, the lying crooked Dodgers, said the Cubs were stealing signs.

  11. - Ron Burgundy - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 10:45 am:

The Cubs have the best whiffs! Losing bigly!

  12. - cdog - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 10:45 am:

And, when the hacked emails proving collusion are in the hands of the public, remember, they don’t count because they were hacked. Watch your rigged ball game and quit whining.

  13. - Give Me A Break - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 10:46 am:

Maybe the Cubbies should a Build A Wall that is shorter, closer and easier to hit balls over.

  14. - Ron Burgundy - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 10:50 am:

Maybe the Cubs need to have a locker room talk.

  15. - Stooges - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 10:54 am:

Better staff up the suicide hot line if this thing doesn’t turn around.

  16. - lake county democrat - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 10:57 am:

Because…Madigan! He’s a southsider, all-powerful, what more do you need?

  17. - A guy - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 11:02 am:

Can’t win if you don’t learn to hit a KOYVE.

  18. - @MisterJayEm - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 11:09 am:

“The TRUTH has been EXPOSED by Julian Assange & Wikileaks: There’s no REAL difference between the Cubs and the Dodgers!! Jill Stein for National League Champion!!!

    – MrJM

  19. - Anonymous - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 11:10 am:

Exactly right! Who wants to watch a team of losers?

I tried to tune in the Cards or the White Sox games, but they were not televised. Damn!

  20. - Jocko - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 11:55 am:

Not to mention the increase of sportswriter voter fraud (favoring the Dodgers). When will people realize that Major League Baseball is corrupt.

  21. - Wensicia - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 11:58 am:

    Update:

Vladimir Putin emphatically denies Russia is trying to influence the outcome of the NLCS: “We’re waiting for the World Series.”

  22. - G'Kar - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 12:02 pm:

It is hard to swing the bat when you hand is clasped tightly around you neck!

  23. - Casual observer - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 12:05 pm:

But the polls all show the Cubs will win.

  24. - Peorgie Tirebiter - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 12:07 pm:

Oh just face the fact that the Cubs are the French army of Major League Baseball.

  25. - Grandson of Man - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 12:12 pm:

The Cubs need to take a drug test before tonight’s game. Bartman will be brought to tonight’s game and will sit in the Dodgers’ dugout.

  26. - Casual observer - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 12:16 pm:

Even after preparing for just this moment, they never saw the curveball coming.

  27. - Oswego Willy - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 12:28 pm:

In Game 1, after the Grand Slam, followed by the solo Home Run propelling the Cubs to victory, Cubs Radio announcer made a similar statement…

    “Save some of these runs”

The Cubs have yet… to score another run.

Pitching beats hitting, every time. Kershaw and Hill were brilliant as much as the Cubs, some Cubs, are ice cold at the plate.

My fear is tonight may not go “well”, and Kershaw takes the bump again… with things more dire than they are now.

  28. - Casual observer - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 12:30 pm:

The Cubs believe the Dodgers are just a JV team.

  29. - Casual observer - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 12:42 pm:

Rumor has it the Cubs practice differently in private than how they play in public.

  30. - Casual observer - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 12:49 pm:

Everybody wants to know…will the leaders shake hands before tonight’s matchup?

Ok, I’m done. This was fun.

  31. - Casual observer - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 12:58 pm:

    Ok, 1 more.

When they throw low, we swing high.

  32. - walker - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 1:58 pm:

Next year they’ll hit the curve.

  33. - wordslinger - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 1:58 pm:

Hopefully, the Cubs built a nice bonfire with their bats after last night’s game.

And the Ricketts chartered a plane to Louisville to pick up an emergency supply from Hillerich and Bradsby. Be sure to specify: bats with hits in them.

Still, to be on the safe side, the Cubs should send the clubhouse kid into East L.A. for a couple of live chickens to sacrifice before the game.

Lackey and Lester are known to enjoy chicken in the clubhouse.

Getting shut out two games in a row in the playoffs is certainly alarming. But win tonight, and it’s a best of three with Cubs regaining home field.

    So… win tonight.

  34. - Rod - Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 4:36 pm:

Based on last night’s game there is considerable reason to believe that Bartman, a black cat, and an unnamed goat were all present somewhere in Dodgers stadium.

I do have skin in all of this by the way, while none of my family members were present at the Cubs old west side stadium for any of the 1908 world series games because of a ticket fraud scandal that scared them away. One was present at the September 5, 1918 World Series game when the Boston Red Sox defeated the Cubs one to nothing playing of all places at Comiskey Park with Babe Ruth pitching for the Red Sox, he was my maternal grandfather who I never knew. Here is a link to a 1918 Cubs team photo https://southcarolina1670.files.wordpress.com/2011/05/1918-chicago-cubs.jpg

Now that I am closing in on 70 years old I am indeed in a state of deep distress after last night. I was at the game Sunday night and felt it was just what it was one of those games where hitters get dominated which does happen, but last night was let us say upsetting.
