LIVE FEED: Rich Miller addresses City Club of Chicago
Monday, Dec 19, 2016 - Posted by Rich Miller Posted by Barton Lorimor (@bartonlorimor) * We will have a live feed of Rich’s annual holiday speech to the City Club of Chicago. The festivities begin at around noon. I will try to do some live blogging when he starts speaking, but you can follow along here… * I would be remiss not to repeat Rich’s request that speech attendees bring a toy with them to donate to the Lutheran Social Services of Illinois toy drive. You and I are not in the room, but we can still help the organization that has time and again earned many accolades from the blog master himself. Please consider following this link to make a contribution to LSSI to help further their honorable mission. Related…

The LSSI link asks for a designation for the donation, any suggestions? There is a Christmas Matching Challenge designation, should I donate to this one?

What a tough day for Rich Miller to make a public appearance. I hope that there is a respectable audience for the speech despite the frigid Chicago weather. It has been awful for the past week.

Wondering if the question will be asked again this year about posting weekly updates and pictures of Oscar.
Always appreciate the pleasant diversion from the very serious topics being discussed.

Rich: “What if Madigan agrees to retire, if Rauner loses? Then a vote for Bruce is a vote for Madigan…” Ooda loop that frat boys!
- Dome Gnome - Monday, Dec 19, 16 @ 12:52 pm:
Rich, your “modest proposal” was really provocative!
- Deft Wing - Monday, Dec 19, 16 @ 3:03 pm:
The only way to semi-verify that Modest Proposal would be for the Dems to nominate Lisa Madigan as their candidate. If Rauner loses both Mikey and Bruce go away, for certain. But if Rauner wins … Illinois’ version of mortal combat rages on.
