It used to be easy being a nothing legislator in IL. Now, legislators are targeted, called out more on social media, etc, so its not the easy paycheck anymore. Term limits are still an issue. I don’t believe in term limits. First, I like to vote for whomever I want, which term limits might prevent. Second, over time, people leave on their own. In the meantime, we need some of our legislators need to have some expertise in politics.
