Instead, the public eye was turned directly on him and this bill and he had to choose which promise to keep. This is Rauner moving to the left with an eye on Nov 2018. This signature indicates he does not feel he needs to worry about a challenge from the Right. And, why would he? Rauner bought the Right and pays its bills. Who would fund a challenger?
