He was Bernie’s biggest endorser in the city and the only majority latino ward in Chicago that didn’t go for Sanders was the 15th ward. I imagine the success of the Sanders/Putin ticket in the Latino community had much less to do with Chuy’s endorsement and much more to do with their ability to foment anger toward Obama and Clinton over the lack of progress on immigration reform after seven years.
