Boy that was fast.

Red Rider, this is very much preliminary. She threw out complaints that are not under her purview or that have been retracted. She hasn’t actually done an investigation into anything yet.

What is the extent of the LIG’s power? after an investigation does she just make a recommendation for consideration?

Let’s not forget this is a former federal prosecutor (a real one - not the Drury kind) who looked at the complaints and decided to investigate 10 of the 27. My guess is the 17 she dismissed were pretty weak. If you only have 10 legit complaints in 4 years, why should taxpayers spend millions for an Inspector General?

@Thoughts: Did you read the memo? The merits of most the other 17 complaints had nothing to do with whether they warranted further investigation by the LIG.

Wonder how many of these complaints have to do with sexual harassment.

Porter and Drury are both former AUSAs. Knock Drury if you want, but he’s just as real as she is.
