Tim Mapes - are you really gone? Repeated sightings at Democratic Party of Illinois offices- how long does it take to clean out your desk? pic.twitter.com/d3wSOXc99B
*** UPDATE *** From DPI executive director Rep. Christian Mitchell…
Tim is not involved in any campaign activity. Tim has been back to the office four times to clean out 20 years’ worth of files, and he completed that process yesterday.
Supposedly former Democratic Party of Illinois Executive Director busted for ghost-jobbing. Ghost payrollers are very confused and think Mapes is doing it all wrong.
Whoever it was, they put the earnest young female employee’s allegations under the passenger’s side. But what they didn’t know, what nobody outside the factory knew, was that this model car was made with a metal plate under the driver’s seat. It’s the only thing that saved his life. The explosive charges were never disputed, but I suspect we know who lit the fuse. And so did the powers that be.
“It’s odd. It comes here, no driver, no one in the car. It parks, idles, like it’s weeping, and slowly backs out of the spot and then slowly drives away. Like a lost puppy.”
They are extending every courtesy to him they never extended to anyone who didn’t perfectly toe the line much less someone who hosed them x 10,000,000. Seems totally fair and not at all weird and clubby.
“During the custody battle, Tim sought and received visitation rights to his second favorite parking spot; his parking at the Capital was retained by the Speaker.”
Ahern’s tweet is dated August 6th. That’s today. Assuming the photo was taken today, and Mapes completed his process yesterday, explain why the truck is there today?
Since the taxpayers paid for Tim’s salary both as COS and DPI’s Exec Dir. (since he was a “volunteer” for DPI), I have to ask how he is being paid to clean out his desk this week.
Is he collecting his pension already and now double-dipping?
Does he have any lobbyist contracts yet? Maybe he can work for Steve Brown’s hugely sucessful lobbying firm.

I think “How long does it take to cleanup your desk?” is a good enough caption to win the contest before it even starts…
- 47th Ward - Monday, Aug 6, 18 @ 2:17 pm:
Of course Mapes is in the office. The Chairman wanted to talk to him about this Pelko business.
What? You think they’re going to chat on the phone or send e-mails? Lol.

Can’t believe he didn’t take the handicapped spot. After all, he tripped over his own ego and ended up disabling his career.

Maybe he’s like Columbo… “Oh, and one more thing…”

Mapes drives a junior brodozer? I had him pegged as a hybrid guy.

Her tweet says “repeated sightings.” I’m pretty sure that doesn’t mean all on the same day.
