Would love to talk to the several percent of people who trust the White House to handle Covid but not Trump.

    People are often politically incoherent.

I totally trust the White House plan, designed by Dr. Fauci and others, and the science to that plan.

I have zero faith in a POTUS that in one breath touts that plan, then decides to talk against it.

    If you have other questions…

  3. - Pundent - Friday, May 1, 20 @ 11:03 am:

The support for scientists, medical professionals, and the CDC is overwhelming. The support for state government helps but the actions of Bailey, Cabello and Breen in perspective.

  4. - PublicServant - Friday, May 1, 20 @ 11:15 am:

47% of people approve of Donald Trump’s handling of the corona virus after he suggested drinking lysol? I guess you really can’t fix stupid.

    K.

Your mileage may vary, but I wouldn’t trust any team assembled by a man who suggested we explore ingesting cleaning products.

    - Evanstonian -

    Maybe you should read up.

Do you have any clue who Dr. Fauci has worked with and his work history… especially in dealing with viruses?

    Now who is seemingly ignorant?

  7. - Jibba - Friday, May 1, 20 @ 11:41 am:

Big win for doctors and scientists. Wish they would remember that when it comes to funding these people, agencies, and research.

  8. - Amalia - Friday, May 1, 20 @ 12:12 pm:

47%, tracks with the national polls. more proof that the Democrats need to be very focused in their decisions on VP, and where and how to spend $$ to win the Presidency and the Senate.

  9. - Ok - Friday, May 1, 20 @ 12:17 pm:

Surprisingly, 5% of people in Illinois have no friends or family.

  10. - Oswego Willy - Friday, May 1, 20 @ 2:19 pm:

    To the post,

… and after digesting *these* numbers…

Science wins. Reasonable people see science to safety, including Dr. Fauci and the White House plan.

    Leadership is…

Having a plan, working the plan, recalibrating the plan as required, but never wavering from the goal and the objectives to reach that goal.

Governors are doing the job, the White House in the position of POTUS is not.

How “messed” up is it that this POTUS has a plan from a group led by a man with 30+ years in virus understanding… and the people know… know… you can’t trust POTUS… but can trust governors working the White House / Fauci and Co plan.

    That’s the takeaway.

    @ OW:
    Perfect. Mic drop.
Now I can take the rest of the afternoon off.

    Appreciate that.

    Stay safe.

  13. - 37B - Friday, May 1, 20 @ 3:45 pm:

Thanks. Have 2 week supply from Binny’s and local small food marts. Have one N95 mask I found in the basement. Am supporting local eateries 3-4 times a week. That should do it.

PS: Family members really starting to get on my nerves. Lol

  14. - Oswego Willy - Friday, May 1, 20 @ 4:00 pm:

    - 37B -

Do your best to try to find that peace this weekend.

    :)

  15. - 37B - Friday, May 1, 20 @ 4:11 pm:

OW: Thanks. Will do. Once again, have a two week supply from Binny’s. We’ll be fine while we work out the bugs.

Anyone concerned about the effect of the State lock down on State and local government finances?
