Just fine, thx for asking!
Haircut, pedicure, outdoor (restaurant) dining all got done over the last week. Seeing about 95% mask compliance wherever I go.
Now if you’re asking about mental wellness, seeing video after video of police run amok is getting to me. I can cure that by not watching, but then I may as well start watching Faux News.
And you? Fuel pump ready to go for the weekend?
Doing good. Starting to get back out and visit other friends that have been staying home. Mostly still doing take-out, although we did have one meal outside at a restaurant with a friend (and his wife) who just got out of the hospital; we know he doesn’t have the virus because they tested him … just had pneumonia which he gets once or twice a year due to his medical issues. Starting to feel semi-normal except for the masks.
Not liking this long hair in summer heat….will have to break down and go soon

I was sad earlier this week, and then I saw the healing slowly begin, the peaceful marches in the city. people starting to talk, and inversely people starting to actually listen and realize, that we may all be in the same boat, but our paths to this ship were most certainly not the same
Man, we need some serious change. Last night I listened to Sam Cooke ” A Change is going to come”
I certainly hope so, We have had enough of this mess to last us 300 more years.
But I just hope we don’t just move on from this, like we have so many times.
Haircut done yesterday. Next task is to get a dental appointment for a cleaning.
Board ups continuing apace. Kroeger store had all of its glass covered. Did a bit of shopping (masked and practicing social distancing). Grocery was unusually crowded. I learned that the store shut early yesterday due to protesters in the vicinity so many people had to shop today.
Adding … got haircuts the Saturday after opening Phase 3 because we were driving home from the pharmacy and saw our barber was open with only 1 car there.
Feeling happy that my 97-year-old mother had a good birthday and we were able to celebrate with a parade past her window. The staff said she was definitely feeling the love.
Not good. Lost all but 1 of my clients. About half of my friends have lost their jobs too. Lots and lots of stress and anxiety.
Had another friend whose restaurant had stocked to re-open, and looters destroyed everything. His insurance also tells him rioting and looting isn’t covered by his plan. Man, this all sucks so much.
Hot and cranky. Dismayed that Randolph county residents are so concerned about a scheduled peaceful protest tomorrow because “crowds, COVID, safety, public health” and want it stopped; yet in the next breath are begging the Governor to allow the ATA Grand because, ““The Grand American is the largest national trapshooting competition in the entire United States, drawing tens of thousands of visitors to our rural community for over two weeks out of the year,” said Sparta Mayor Jason Schlimme. “The ability to maintain this relationship with the American Trapshooting Association is vital to our economy in Southern Illinois.” sigh….deep sigh
Used our home sound system so constantly over the past 3 months that the 25yr old multi- disc Pioneer CD player faded out. I felt very fortunate to find an exact same model replacement used one on Ebay so I knew it would comport with the rest of my system. It arrived today. Sometimes you just have stand back and feel blessed to settle for the small victories.

Having been to Sparta a number of times I can tell you that legal firearm owners are committed to safety first. If they post social distancing rules they will be followed. No need to go to Sparta just visit any Gun Range.
My sciatica is flaring up and I just got over shingles. I don’t want to talk about the hemorrhoids or the acid reflux but hey the older we get the more this stuff happens.
@Donnie Elgin - I did not mean to infer that the shooters were unsafe. I am a supporter of the shooting sports. But do we really want to have an event that large the last week of July and the first two weeks in August? With incoming visitors from across the country?
Having a bit of a pity party about being the caretaker of someone with genetic heart disease as I look forward into an abyss of long, unending months of as much isolation as possible.
Doing pretty well. The news from Kankakee and Anna really helped. On the downside I’m afraid to get my hair done, have a massage or pedicure or eat out. My issues are small, but I miss my indulgences. I’m sending my money to help people pay bail. My gray pigtail looks dumb.
Love supporting local resturants, but Tired of eating carry out. Love Zoom meeting cocktail hours, but Miss the social interaction with live bodies. Need to get back to the gym, Don’t seem to have the dicipline needed to not gain 12#s during the lockdown.

Younger son graduated by Lincoln Park High School today via a drive-through handing out of diplomas through the long parking lot at the Lincoln Park Zoo, right in front of the statute of General Grant. Nicely done–lots of teachers in lawn chairs cheering them on.
Hair salon appointment on Monday. Still employed. Taking it one day at a time–can’t complain.
Actually very lucky and doing great considering. Hoping the same for you and yours. Began to work on a creative project but derailed myself since George Floyd.

So far so good but not looking forward to going back to the office starting on Monday. I’ll miss how much more productive I was doing WFH.

Nope. Gonna ask the neighbor if I can borrow his boat.

I can’t complain. Back to work on the 15th (taking time off) and the chori-pollo tacos were pretty good. And beer… God, I love beer.
Hope all are doing well– or will get through this.
