After awhile, crocodile
Thursday, Jul 23, 2020 - Posted by Rich Miller * As I think I’ve told you, my pontoon boat has not been running this year. It’s a 2007 model, so things do happen with age, I suppose. Oldtimers may remember that we christened it “Sweet Bloggy Goodness” back in the day. For me, putting around the lake on the ol’ pontoon is like going on a mini-vacation, so this mechanical issue has been a real bummer, especially with the limited recreational options during a pandemic. But I have some great news! The boat is finally running! A buddy of mine is coming over soon and we’re taking it out on the lake for a while. So, I’m done for the day. Check out the live coverage post for updates. We’ll talk again tomorrow… Party in slow motion

=== I’ll bet it’s===
Nope, but I sure could use some time on a lake.
“Until that time, Rich, until that time”

Have fun and do some cold ones, thinking of nothing but the lake and beautiful surroundings.
- revvedup - Thursday, Jul 23, 20 @ 3:04 pm:
I kinda liked the pontoon boat we had at a rental cottage a long time ago. You didn’t race to get anywhere, and you had more space to move around. Enjoy your time offshore, Rich.
- Downstate - Thursday, Jul 23, 20 @ 3:05 pm:
Nothing better than a pontoon boat on the lake. It’s a beautiful evening for it.
- Colin O'Scopy - Thursday, Jul 23, 20 @ 3:07 pm:

-Blue Dog-
I think he said water pump.
I don’t know what motor Rich has, but friend had a Yamaha on his pontoon. It ate a pump every year, and it got to where he could no longer get a pump.

Have fun Admiral!
- Huh? - Thursday, Jul 23, 20 @ 3:28 pm:
Blue Dog & RNUG - It was the fuel pump that went bad a couple hundred feet from shore.
- the Patriot - Thursday, Jul 23, 20 @ 3:38 pm:
If there is not a picture from the Pontoon for the caption contest tomorrow I will be very disappointed.

Boat is not a word. It is an acronym:
Bust
Out
Another
Thousand

Enjoy, Rich, you deserve a nice evening on the lake with a buddy and a cold adult beverage (or two - but don’t overdo).

Enjoy your afternoon.
- Top of the State - Thursday, Jul 23, 20 @ 4:58 pm:
My brother in Florida said that the happiest days are when you buy a boar, and when you sell a boat. Glad that you are back on the lake, and suggest unleaded (without ethanol) in the gas. I have had better luck with small engines following that rule.
- Dotnonymous - Thursday, Jul 23, 20 @ 5:56 pm:
Be safe…objects appear higher on the water…probably.
- AnnieH - Thursday, Jul 23, 20 @ 10:27 pm:
Enjoy, enjoy. We sold our pontoon boat last week, remembering the adage that the two best days in a boat owner’s life are the day they buy the boat and the day they sell it.
- Blue Dog Dem - Friday, Jul 24, 20 @ 6:45 am:
Morning Rich. How boat run?
- Rich Miller - Friday, Jul 24, 20 @ 6:56 am:
Most relaxing day I’ve had in a while.
- Blue Dog Dem - Friday, Jul 24, 20 @ 7:50 am:
I recommend a can of sea-foam every time you fill up.
- Downstate - Friday, Jul 24, 20 @ 8:15 am:
“suggest unleaded”
A higher octaine solved most of our issues. Also, running the boat every few days is critical.
- TinyDancer(FKASue) - Friday, Jul 24, 20 @ 8:37 am:
Out in the open,
Motor boatin’
Love it. Just don’t show it to Lightfoot.
