Rauner was a fraud, a phony, who wore costumes and hurt social services and something you can only believe was a story from “The Onion”, his wife’s social service was bailed out by his (Bruce’s) political opponent, and his opponent’s family. Illinois will lose the ability to tax non-sourced income for people who relocate to a different state, but it isn’t going to lose the sourced income. Each situation is different, but for some high earners, their state of residence doesn’t impact their tax liability much.
