Dropped passes doomed the Bears yesterday, as well as blown interceptions and Foles’ inability to scramble. The offensive line is decimated and the defense gives up too many big plays. It’s a mediocre team, and the ancient QB woes continue. The bright spot is the FG kicker.
I voted yesterday, as I was near the early voting site and the line wasn’t to long. I had spent a fair bit of time in the morning checking the CBA and Injustice Watch websites to decide which judges I wanted to vote against retaining, and had the list with me, so I figured what the heck, get it done.
I voted in person a while back when it became available. At Lyons town hall. A nice gentleman opened the door for each patron so we all weren’t touching it. Everyone was masked. Stations were distanced (I have to wonder what they use that big room for when not hosting elections) No one hassled me for using my phone to look at the voteforjudges.org table. In years past I have always printed it and taken a paper copy with me. This year I opted to save the tree.
I finished my Duolingo Spanish from German tree. No I am not fluent (yes, I know 15 minutes a day to fluency–hah) I am, however, now at B1 in Spanish and B2 in German (in listening and reading, not writing or speaking unfortunately). So now, it’s off to boring more traditional means to advance both languages. There are so many more resources (youtube videos, adaptive learning digital flash cards, online courses) than when I was in high school, when I originally learned Spanish.
I am still baffled by Nagy’s play calling. He cannot figure out the opposing team’s defensive scheme until the fourth quarter. At this rate, we will barely limp into the playoffs and get bounced straight out. Very Sox and Cubs like.
Although, if we dropped our twice-yearly time changes, my preference for Illinois to be to go to year-round Standard Time. And drop Daylight Savings Time completely, including in the summer. Due to the 90th parallel (the focal point for the Central Time Zone) going through western Illinois. And with there only being twilight in Illinois still around 7AM in late October, when people starting to leave for work or school. It would be even worse when winter weather begins if Illinois stayed DST all year–darkness still at 8AM during the morning commute and the worst winter driving conditions of the day.
Anyone else get a text from Cook County Dems that included line about voting against Toomin and then the next day from the same number get a text that only had be sure to vote for Toomin?
Learned two lessons recently:
1. Recording TV allows you to speed through the Davis-Londrigan commercials. They have to be 90% of the commercials in central Illinois TV.
2. When two politicians (Davis-Londrigan) base their entire campaigns on claiming their opponent is a liar, a corporaante stooge, uses video worst than a grade C horror movie while offering nothing positive, they should both just go away.

We were at a wake and missed the almost all of the first half. The Bears were leading when I turned the TV on.Should have left well enough alone and just turned it off.
Awaiting the City and suburban looting and rioting because reasons. At least the County got my ballot. Now is the long wait to count all the ballots, and find out how many pundits were right/wrong, and about what. If you haven’t voted, please do so. If you don’t vote, don’t complain about anything going forward.

There was an infomercial in the 90s in which a woman would yell “stop the insanity” into the camera.
I think about that a lot these days.

What is the real time?
Thought we dumped daylight savings but I see different times all over local websites and news.

“The bright spot is the FG kicker” IMO, the bright spot is that the offense outscored the defense.

That should read “too long”.

I miss listening to Julie DiCaro on the radio. Why a media outlet hasn’t picked her up is beyond me.

Looks like Cap Fax is now observing year-round Daylight Savings Time. The most recent reply is posted as 12:47PM. It is currently 12:14PM.
