Hoping Pritzker announces today that state employees are finally allowed to work from home. Would be a great start to the weekend.

50 years ago and they’re still blubbering about it.

He’s encouraged this from the beginning and many, like myself, have been working remotely since mid-March. It seems each agency/department is handling things differently. If you’re represented by AFSCME and don’t feel it is essential you work on location, contact your union rep.

it is different watching the Masters in the fall. Normally it signals the start of golf season here in Illinois, not the end.

  9. - Grandson of Man - Friday, Nov 13, 20 @ 9:23 am:

Congrats also to Jose Abreu for the AL MVP. It was a pleasure watching him go yard so many times.

MSIX, there are probably still bits of it in orbit. ;>)

  11. - Retired and Still in Illinois - Friday, Nov 13, 20 @ 9:27 am:

Edwardsville High School announced this morning going full remote until after Thanksgiving. Other schools in the district have dozens of teacher off due to quarantine and are short dozens of subs.

    Time for basketball?

    Wear. a. mask.

Secretary of State has had all their offices open and employees back in the office since June 1st. I don’t know about the other constitutionals, however.

“We need a discussion on it”

In Ole Kendall County, it was 28 degrees this dark morning as I had to venture out.

I wore a Carhartt, far from pristine.

What is crazy! *My children have 15 teachers out and are still in-person learning. Plus, having basketball workouts/tryouts. *(not attending)

Abreu Abreu Abreu. Jose Abreu, Pito, is AL MLB MVP. his reaction on ESPN was so emotional, emotional to watch. so much sacrifice and work to get to this high award. so very happy for him.

Thanks for that video. The coverage was so 70’s

Can’t speak for the above poster but I’d guess they have probably done so. I have and so have all my coworkers countless times and are met with a response from AFSCME that is essentially “the agency has the right to make these decisions”. Even an office with 18 positive employees has not changed a single protocol in my agency. We could all be working from home.

If there is a mandatory stay-at-home again, this time I would be shocked if those already back in the office will be able to be off again, or working remotely.

Not a Good Friday the 13th for Dan Proft his guy Dan Patlak is now 4000$ behind Tammy Wendt. He out spent her 835,000$ to 40-45,000$.
