You'd probably have to file another resolution in a few years creating another taskforce to decommission that taskforce because nobody ever showed up for a meeting
“After months of speculation, the Governor has named his new Task Force Czar to lead the Blue Ribbon Panel that was formed to advise the Legislative Statutory Task Force Review Commission that is considering…”

The Committee on Redundancy Committee will need to look into this as well as examine it closely, producing a White Paper.
Shouldn’t an effort like this start out with a fact-finding mission? I believe Honolulu and Macau have both undertaken similar efforts. It bears investigation.
But we will have to sit through the Republican’s in the House and Senate complaining any task force doesn’t have equal representation. That is reason enough not to have another task fore.

I’m not a bar goer, but I wonder if back in the day, either Boones or other popular Statehouse-area bars among politicos ever had a sale on buckets of Pabst. And called it the “Pabst Blue Ribbon Commission.”

I can’t find the number, but did anyone see that House Resolution to implement a 3% increase in the number of task forces compounded annually? I think Hannah has a chart up on Twitter showing it would actually slow the increase in task forces over a ten year period?
Oak Park has a “Citizen Involvement Commission,” which “was established in order to foster citizen participation in the various boards, commissions, and committees of the Village of Oak Park.”
In my company after an internal problem has surfaced of sufficient magnitude to cause financial loss or a PR disaster we call a meeting and name it a post-mortem. Nobody looks forward to those but they usually get results.

What is happening with the WIU QC campus? The President sent a letter to Gov. Pritzker asking to be included in discussions of the “transfer” to another university.
You people are overachieving before it is needed. I have not seen the poll results showing if any of these committees or subcommittee are warranted and I am not willing to proceed without the polls first.

Sad news out of #BloNo–Former Mayor Judy Markowitz, the first woman and the first person of the Jewish faith to serve as Bloomington mayor, died Monday. She was 82.It was revealed in the last couple of years that she was suffering from dementia, probably Alzheimer’s Disease. She was a remarkable woman.

I believe that before we establish a blue-ribbon panel, to appoint a committee, to authorize a task force, to create a bi-partisan board, which will then consider the formation of a citizen’s committee to review the working group’s status thus far, that we need to consider holding a non-binding referendum on the need to form the necessary commission to establish the blue-ribbon panel. Having said that, I also believe that the Governor should appoint a Deputy Governor with the sole task of coordinating the various bodies to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness in establishing the need for further study of this issue.
