We just got our invitation to the annual St. Patty’s Day party hosted by friends for over 20 years (they had taken over hosting duties from her parents who had hosted a traditional party for around 30 years prior to that). Attendance usually ranges from 30-40 people. Last year’s was held right before the lockdown order. This year the guest list: Seven people are being invited.
Except for a couple weeks ago, this winter can be defined as “Maple Syrup” weather. Below freezing nights, above freezing days, all winter. Just throwing that out there. Have a great week all.

Glad that March is here. Have enjoyed the recent warmer weather (not so much today). Looking forward to getting outside again. The last two months were awful.
At Waveland there was a one armed man selling cold Old Style over the fence at the 5th tee box. We called him Lefty.
The mainstay was at the 7th tee. Got arrested once a year in May and left alone for the rest of the season. Saw him once a week for almost 2 decades.

St. Paddy’s Day - that’s all I can think about.
That’s when this whole thing started.
Cancelled our yearly get-together at Hackney’s on Lake a couple days prior.
I’ll have had 2 shots by the 17th, but still not ready to mingle.
I’m thinkin’ homemade Hackney burgers and bagpipe music on a Zoom party.
I remember going to the Hackney’s off Milwaukee in the north burbs as a kid. So many good memories and burgers. They also had the Simpson’s Arcade Game in the lobby which ate an ungodly amount of my parents quarters. Thanks for the chuckle.
