State Senator Darren Bailey is calling on Governor JB Pritzker to fully reopen Illinois.

It has been almost a year since a Stay At Home order was issued in Illinois due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Sen. Bailey, who is running for governor, said of Pritzker in a statement, “His failed leadership continues to devastate businesses, families, students, and working people across the state.” […]

Bailey filed lawsuits fighting the Stay At Home order.

Just another attempt to spike the ball on the 20.

Also, the stay at home order expired in May of last year. And Bailey’s lawsuit success rate ain’t that great. Do better, 17. You’re not supposed to be a Facebook commenter.

=== Bailey filed lawsuits fighting the Stay At Home order.===

    Narrator: He lost them all.

    I was hoping in true Facebook stylings he’d have;

    “We’ve reached a heard immunity”

… and have a meme or something ridiculous.

    Senator,

Do you ever get tired of being wrong? Asking for a state you delusionally think you’re capable of running.

He’s wearing out the trope that Governor shutdown all the schools. Many have been open all year, mine is going to four day a week, full hours at the end of the month.

The offer stands to have remote learning for the year. They also offered it for next year too.

===== “We can’t let the government mandate how we raise our families and live our daily lives,” Bailey said. ===

How exactly does that reconile with Bailey’s overtly Christian, call to return God to schools, government, etc.etc. Many of his thoughts and statements seem to indicate that if he were elected or through his legislative seat, he intends to do just that very thing - well, maybe I should say his base certainly seems to believe that he’s going to bring back “the good moral Illinois we once had…”

How is that kind of hoped for government mandate okay - but others aren’t?

Darren, it’s not Governor Pritzker’s leadership that’s devastated business, families, and working people. It’s COVID-19. When folks fail to follow guidelines regarding masks and social distancing, the virus spreads.

Darren, this pandemic affects individuals all across nations not just Illinois. Close your mouth and open a book. Study science, disease transmission, and prevention.

Must give a Pulitzer for the headline.

Yes, Bailey will do Bailey all the way to defeat.

=== the stay at home order expired in May of last year ===

Can it be reimposed on Bailey? Asking for a friend.

This guy makes Rauner look competent.

  9. - Huh? - Tuesday, Mar 16, 21 @ 3:09 pm:

===“We can’t let the government mandate how we raise our families and live our daily lives,” Bailey said. ===

The State does it all the time. Even has laws about it.

  10. - "A Horse is a Horse" - Tuesday, Mar 16, 21 @ 3:10 pm:

Pritzker is praying that Bailey is the Repub nominee. Bailey is unelectable.

  11. - don the legend - Tuesday, Mar 16, 21 @ 3:15 pm:

Rudy’s teeth, let me add to you comment:

==When folks fail to follow guidelines regarding masks and social distancing, the virus spreads.==

    …and that’s what devastated business.

  12. - PublicServant - Tuesday, Mar 16, 21 @ 3:19 pm:

God must want Pritzker to be a two term governor.

  13. - Ducky LaMoore - Tuesday, Mar 16, 21 @ 3:19 pm:

===== “We can’t let the government mandate how we raise our families and live our daily lives,” Bailey said. ===

Ah, so he wants to get rid of DCFS?

  14. - The Old Man - Tuesday, Mar 16, 21 @ 3:27 pm:

Oh no not again, somebody write a song: “Darren Bailey won’t YOU please go Home’. There is already music it can be sung to.

  15. - truthteller - Tuesday, Mar 16, 21 @ 3:34 pm:

too bad Bailey can;t be personally sued for causing so many Illinois people to ignore the rules and get sick and we know some have died because of his RHETORIC. Bailey causes people of illinois to become ill, the complete opposite what public leader should be doing

  16. - Professor - Tuesday, Mar 16, 21 @ 4:01 pm:

If Bailey is the nominee of the Republicans heaven help to GOP.

  17. - Sir Reel - Tuesday, Mar 16, 21 @ 4:03 pm:

Darren Bailey: Illinois’ Gomer Pyle, without the endearing qualities.

  18. - EssentialStateEmployeeFromChatham - Tuesday, Mar 16, 21 @ 4:10 pm:

    =Do better, 17.=

In other breaking news, the state of local TV news journalism in central Illinois is pathetic. And it’s not just limited to the ever-popular Channel 20.

  19. - SOIL M - Tuesday, Mar 16, 21 @ 4:22 pm:

    And in other news,
Geralissimo Francisco Franco is still dead

  20. - Fivegreenleaves - Tuesday, Mar 16, 21 @ 5:06 pm:

By the way the Illinois Channel on youtube puts it, Darren won his lawsuit. Yeah he won, in the lowest court possible by a judge elected by the same people who elected him. Kangaroos aren’t only in Australia.

  21. - TheInvisibleMan - Tuesday, Mar 16, 21 @ 6:24 pm:

    It seems like only yesterday there was a story about the chances for Pritzker in the next election posted here with words something along the lines of;

“Unless Pritker is very lucky and gets a terrible republican challenger from the GOP primary”

I present to you, exhibit 1.

  22. - The Eastern Block Strikes Again - Tuesday, Mar 16, 21 @ 7:04 pm:

When you think what’s next? The ole Eastern Block strikes again and their actions always cause an eye roll. I’m starting to think Bailey spends more time out of his district than he does in the district. Do we know if the airplane that flew him to the Naperville rally was an in-kind donation and was that a political trip or an official government trip?

  23. - Archpundit - Tuesday, Mar 16, 21 @ 10:31 pm:

==I present to you, exhibit 1.

Even exhibits 2-50 aren’t much better–some are smarter, but that’s feint praise.
