I’m getting my 2nd shot today. Then I’m going to the Green City market to support local farmers.

Had to recently take a family member to a hospital for tests and spent a long time there. It was the longest I continuously wore a mask. It was a much different feeling, a safer feeling, being fully vaccinated, than before vaccination.

I’m thinking someone moved my yard from Sangamon County to Minnesota. Water in the birdbath frozen this morning.

Glad that the McLean County Board came to their senses last night and stopped the GOP mischief to remake the county board during redistricting.
I keep thinking back to that lawsuit that’s trying to force a university to treat any criticism of Israel or support for a two state as antisemitism.
It might help them out if they made some effort to define how to appropriately criticism Israel for things that have happened this week without it being labeled as antisemitism.
I’m thinking… how will Rodney Davis say he supported either Trump or Cheney with only a “voice vote” used for her ouster.
I’m thinking cowardice of a cult realizes no one wants to be the “one” on record saying “the big lie” to appease a cult leader is more important than truth, honesty and facts.
How Rodney Davis will reconcile his “voice vote” will be an interesting gymnastic exercise.
22 million acres of cropland. Daily we know the corn and bean prices, the percent of the crop planted in Spring week by week, the Crop Condition reports through the summer and in the autumn the percent harvested each week. Local farmers will be interviewed to let us know how it is looking in Piatt County this year; 200 bushel year?
Cannabis and Hemp news is like hen’s teeth here in Illinois.

OW - Davis will have it both ways no matter what. Didn’t he claim he wasn’t saying if he was voting for Trump at the same time he was an honorary cochair of Trump’s IL campaign?
=== Davis will have it both ways no matter what.===
Tough to build a “coalition of a constituency” when you are appeasing Trumpkins while denouncing “the big lie”
There’s no in between in this instance.
“We’ll see”
Be well.

Glad the Cheney vote was brought up on this thread. In agreement that Davis will try to have it both ways, and he indeed was the honorary co-chair for Trump’s IL campaign. The vote to oust Cheney, for me, signaled a dangerous shift in our democracy. We are going to lose it. I never thought I’d side with Liz Cheney, but this time I had to for our American Democracy.

Welp, it’s about 10 minutes to 3pm
Nothing from Rodney Davis, but… he did thank “ Hospitals and health care workers” an hour ago on “the tweeter” so I know his social media is working.

“have all the police quit”
None, in my rural little hamlet.
As it won’t affect the majority of LEOs who do their job professionally, this great hue and cry will fade into history, as they all do.
