Kids are in school until mid-June, then summer camp, 4th of July trip to see grandparents, up to Minnesota for a lake house getaway in late July, maybe a weekend road trip or two in August, and then kids go back to school late August.
If I blink, I’ll miss it. I remember when summer used to last forever. Now, it’s gone before you even realize it started.

A wedding to attend. Have to respect my Father’s final request and spread his ashes. Then work. More work. Maybe get a chance to fish. Work was busy during the pandemic, no signs of slowing down as the pandemic ends. Somewhere in the summer I need to find time to sit, relax and enjoy life.
1. Ravinia (under their rather limited schedule and mostly classical concerts which will be less crowded.)
2. Baseball (the South Side Variety)
3. Enjoying the fruits of our neighbor’s garden (which of course we are helping with the upkeep and harvesting).
5. Possibly a HS class reunion.
Making up for a lot of lost time and a couple opportunities… taking people up on some things as well.
