A Growler is a single serving for me, but I’m not clear whether they’re included.

What are the chances the governor’s $8 carbon price comes back if Don Harmon (or his chief of staff) lets Prairie State go?

    Succinct tweet.

There was some great leadership to get it passed, real important social media tweeting to keep it rolling, and a signature to make it real.

If you’re not checking out @ChicagoBars, you’re missing out on a lot of great content.

    To the “open” part?

The polling on Lightfoot, 10 points above water, under 50%, but at this point, considering where the city is and city politics, the small town of it all in the wards, who could emerge to take on Lightfoot with those numbers?

It seems that the politics is overshadowing the wonky governing failures and Lightfoot, the mayor, has put Lightfoot, the candidate, in her rear view mirror and if battling everyone works for her in polling… the 60% on the police support was interesting too, if I had to guess before seeing I’d bet it was above 50% but not at 60%.

I wish this was a tracking poll kind of thing, not a snapshot, I’d like to see in t e coming weeks and months as things open, the Chicago summer, even getting ready for fall school, how this milepost measures with later polling.

General Assembly giving away other people’s money. Money from bar owners who for the past year have been struggling to keep their doors open. Classic Illinois.

    Narrator: it’s optional.

If one decides not to participate, cool. It’s not mandatory.

Classic complainer is more like it. Dude, it doesn’t force them to give away anything. They can *choose* to participate if want.

“who could emerge to take on Lightfoot with those numbers?”

It will probably be some unknown who catches fire. The also-rans won’t. And remember, it is a long time until 2023. If Lightfoot maintains her strategy of alienating everybody, her numbers are going to look a lot worse.

  9. - Huh? - Thursday, Jun 3, 21 @ 9:37 am:

So the Wisconsin traveler is now legal in Illinois. Drinking and driving is now legal. Who woulda thunk. /s

    Shaping up that way.

Agreed too.. we got all of 2022 and those elections, with new maps to navigate… first.

I do hope the Chicago Reader is working on a map of all the bars/restaurants that are taking advantage of the opportunity to hand out vaccination beer.

I think this is worth knowing about.

    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
    Niagara Falls.
    Slowly I turned.
Step by step, inch by inch.
    Comcast.
So, yesterday was the last straw. Ended up on the FCC website. Isn’t there a state agency to which I can file a complaint?
