Passed a kidney stone. There IS something worse than oral surgery. I’ve had that too. I know it is also rough. Hoping you are feeling better and that it was successful.
Worried for suburban Chicago school boards facing pressure on masks and vaccination. I know one district concerned that the governor may loosen the mask mandate, which would only increase the pressure to abandon masks.
Tired. Working a lot. Things will slow down after Christmas, right? Right?
Hope you’re feeling better, Rich, and that you are healing well.
It’s gray and cloudy outside. How about some pictures of Oscar being his utterly adorable self? A guaranteed way to make us smile and be happy (banned punctuation). (Hint, hint…)
I know she is entitled to it, but given her position, Duckworth not paying her Real Estate taxes and owning another house in DC area over $1MM really annoys me.
Welcome back, Rich. Hope your surgery went well.
YES, Oscar pics, please.
Bears: WT—, Nagy??
Lightfoot: Rather late to the anti-crime party; now whining about her ally Foxx’s failure to prosecute shooters caught on video…
Indiana: Looks better every day from the Crook County side of the line…
Doing ok, another family member tested positive, fully vaccinated, so far things are mild but symptomatic, located in an area where vaccinations are seemingly “optional”.
Playoff baseball this week so best wishes to the White Sox and best to White Sox fans, enjoy the ride… your ball club is built for a long playoff run.
@BigLou
Ducworth DID pay her taxes. Her taxes are zero due to a legal exemption apparently available to any IL disabled veteran. It is a slur to say she did not pay her taxes.
Would you like to trade your legs for a tax exemption?
Rich, hope you are healing well. Hoping for more than one game here for the Sox. But hoping more for the shooting to decrease in Chicago. some truly terrifying incidents.
Lemme guess. You’re a big stand for the anthem in order to honor the fallen kind of guy.

Hope you’re feeling better Rich.
Got my booster shot earlier today. No issues during the earlier vaccines and no issues for this one yet. At least at the Sangamon County health department, for boosters they replace your original vaccination card with a CDC card that has room for all three boosters’ dates and info. Since that one works if traveling out of state and overseas.
I was supportive of Kim Foxx, and I don’t know anything about the law, but I’m baffled by her office’s decision not to file charges in those two “mutual combat” cases.
Can you find enough statehouse votes in the House and Senate and a governor to sign a bill to “fix” this and take away a benefit to… disabled veterans?
I would vote that property tax breaks are not enough. Any veteran who loses their legs in an arm in the service of their country shouldn’t pay any taxes whatsoever.
They are the thin red line.
== I think the tax break was intended for people who were not able to secure a job that paid enough to cover expenses.==
If so the law would have been written that way. She could lose this job every six years anyway.

Truly thankless and largely an outlet for people to come find someone to yell at.

Big Lou: Would you gladly trade losing your legs and mobility in your arm for not paying RE taxes?
Get a grip, there are way more things to be outraged about than a disabled war veteran getting an exemption on paying real estate taxes.
