=Moderna booster last night. Feel like dog doo.=

Ugh. I need to get a Moderna booster as well. I was wondering if it hit like the second shot did.

  3. - JoanP - Wednesday, Nov 10, 21 @ 8:31 am:

    @ MISX -

I had the Moderna booster, also, and although it did hit me, it was not as bad as the second shot. I was merely lethargic as opposed to spending the next day sleeping.

  4. - Keyrock - Wednesday, Nov 10, 21 @ 8:32 am:

Sorry, Blue Dog. My Moderna booster just left me with a sore arm for a couple of days.

  5. - MSIX - Wednesday, Nov 10, 21 @ 8:33 am:

Thanks, JoanP. Hoping for the same or better.

  6. - Bruce( no not him) - Wednesday, Nov 10, 21 @ 8:41 am:

I had the Moderna booster. A couple of days later, someone asked if I had any effects.
If I did, they were so small, I didn’t even notice. Not even a sore arm.

  7. - We'll See - Wednesday, Nov 10, 21 @ 8:41 am:

Got the Moderna booster last week and felt good enough to run a marathon the next day…. I’m not crazy so didn’t run a marathon.

either pick up a Sun Times, or check your online subscription, because Dale Bowman has an all time fish photo with an article about how the giant carp was caught and weighed. It is fantastic. what a photo.

  9. - Club J - Wednesday, Nov 10, 21 @ 8:56 am:

I got the Moderna booster Monday and when I posted here yesterday morning all I had was a sore arm. I ran some errands and by dinner I felt like I had been hit by a truck. Got a good nights sleep and much better today. Have a great day.

  10. - TinyDancer(FKASue) - Wednesday, Nov 10, 21 @ 8:56 am:

Got the Moderna booster 2 weeks ago and got slammed - severe headache, shivers, vivid nightmares, etc., etc. Didn’t feel right for almost a week. Bad, but better than having Covid.

  11. - Steve Rogers - Wednesday, Nov 10, 21 @ 9:00 am:

College basketball season started last night. Good game from the Illini, even without Cockburn, Curbelo and Frazier. This was a game John Groce would have probably lost, even though his Zips almost beat Ohio State. Not a good start from my Salukis though.

  12. - thoughts matter - Wednesday, Nov 10, 21 @ 9:00 am:

Getting the Modena booster late today. Have planned for a few days of doing nothing. Starting to realize there is only a few weeks until Christmas and I have zero gift ideas for anyone.

  13. - Cheryl44 - Wednesday, Nov 10, 21 @ 9:00 am:

I got the Pfizer shots and have been thinking of playing mix and match with the booster. Maybe I’ll just get another Pfizer shot after reading this.

  14. - Skeptic - Wednesday, Nov 10, 21 @ 9:05 am:

First of all, big kudos to each and every one of you who have gotten a booster shot.
Second of all, Moderna booster, no ill effects.

  15. - Suburban Mom - Wednesday, Nov 10, 21 @ 9:27 am:

Had the Moderna booster, took a nap that day, wasn’t bad. Felt like a truck hit me with the initial two shots, but the booster was fine.

Finally got my dang flu shot; been hard to get in locally because all shot locations are slammed from people getting Covid boosters and 5-11-year-old first shots. I’m delighted that so many people are getting shots. But I’m also glad that finding a flu shot is now officially one less thing I have to think about.

  16. - Bourbon Street - Wednesday, Nov 10, 21 @ 9:33 am:

I got the Pfizer booster yesterday and still have a sore arm. Not entirely unexpected because I had a sore arm after my first (but not my second) shot. Other than that, I’m fine.

  17. - walker - Wednesday, Nov 10, 21 @ 9:56 am:

Moderna booster. No problems but felt like I needed a nap the next day.

  18. - Annonin' - Wednesday, Nov 10, 21 @ 10:08 am:

A small miracle has occurred…Tribbies quit referring to Bloomington/Normal as “rural”
…Rivian has 3,400 employees working at its sole production facility, a converted Mitsubishi plant in Normal, a college town about 130 miles south of Chicago. The company, which is headquartered in Irvine, California, has about 9,500 employees overall.

Sangamon County Board (overwhelmingly GOP) passed their new district map last night along party lines.

Among the two Democratic board members placed in the same district is Tony DelGiorno, who unsuccessfully challenged Sara Wojicki Jimenez for the 99th Rep in 2016.

  20. - Aaron B - Wednesday, Nov 10, 21 @ 10:32 am:

Got my Moderna booster almost 2 weeks ago. Had a sore arm for a couple days but just a tiny bit of fatigue the day after. 2nd dose was worse for me with the normal sore arm but also a lot of fatigue the day after. 10/10 experience, would do again.

  21. - Banish Misfortune - Wednesday, Nov 10, 21 @ 10:42 am:

Still processing about the number of Chicago Police connected to the Oath Keepers. Many many times more than NY police and LA.

  22. - RNUG - Wednesday, Nov 10, 21 @ 11:46 am:

Got the Moderna booster a couple of weeks ago. Mrs had zero effects. I had a sore arm right at the injection site for about 2 days but nothing else.

  23. - RNUG - Wednesday, Nov 10, 21 @ 11:50 am:

Did outside Christmas lights the easy way this year. My son & wife stopped by this morning and put them up. My contribution was to just run a number of extension cords as needed.
