Why is Rodney Davis attacking Mary Miller’s Christian faith? When Miller talked with Tony Perkins about the border, she noted the lessons of the Good Samaritan. Now Davis twist her words to attack her on immigration. Davis cut out: ‘The role of our government is to enforce our laws.’ Davis should apologize. The fact is Davis voted for amnesty, not Miller. Mary Miller, strong on the border, Trump endorsed. Conservative Outsider PAC is responsible for the content of this advertising
They have a point, but when you’re explaining, you’re not winning.
Does Rodney Davis think you’re stupid? His pals say Mary Miller hates our military. Horse manure. Miller opposed Joe Biden’s woke military makeover plan loaded up with diversity training, gender perspectives, even a report on discriminatory uniforms. Perfect for a squish like Davis, not a conservative like Miller. President Trump backs Miller and says she’s strong for our military. There’s so much mental gymnastics that both sides have been using Davis and Miller are really two peas in a pod. The only real difference between the two is style; although, Davis actually does try to solve problems.
These constant denials of no relationship with other “Millers” is becoming more curious. Should there some testing to prove it? Seems appropriate since this whack job could end up representing more civilized parts of IL beyond the EasternBlocHead region
=more civilized parts of IL beyond the EasternBlocHead region=
The civilized parts of IL have resoundingly rejected the Trump style GOP. Plus, most of the western portion of the district is Forgottonia, aka WesternBloc. Maybe IL Dems were trying to draw a BlocHead community of interest.
The first ad will just confuse people not familiar with the original interview or “attack.” Frankly either one of them invoking the story of the Good Samaritan in relation to their views on immigrants is laughable given how they want them treated.
On the second, I’m not sure what the value is in repeating what the opponent is saying about her. Both are very defensive.
Admittedly I am not the audience, as I don’t live in the district, but the first ad just left me confused. I think it would leave many non-political types living the district confused as well.
D+. I agree with everyone saying that explaining and responding to opponent’s messaging is a bad use of ad time. It’s also interesting how understated the Trump endorsement is in these ads. I would’ve thought that alone would be enough to rebut the weak on immigration charge.

Is it an upgrade for Miller to claim horse manure over Newman’s dog dedication ad?
- DuPage Saint - Thursday, Jun 2, 22 @ 10:59 am:
Sorry defecation auto corrected to dedication which is interesting

Oh my. You can just feel the testosterone oozing out of Mary Miller’s pores.

Never a fan of an as where you repeat your opponent’s attack on you, even if just to refute it.

Had to Google “squish” as I was not familiar with the term. https://nationalcenter.org/ncppr/2006/08/18/blog-what-is-a-squish/
And… then there was also this…:) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2MvqNUIgGs

Maybe Davis can fire back with an ad calling Miller a “quockerwodger”. https://newsfeed.time.com/2013/05/01/the-meaning-of-squish-and-other-fun-to-say-political-slights/

They only make sense if you’ve seen the Davis ads attacking Miller, preferably immediately before.
Actually I’d prefer an ad that starts with, Rodney Davis doesn’t think you’re stupid, Rodney Davis thinks Mary Miller’s stupid …

Are you talking about an area generally bounded by I80 on the south, Devon on the north, Wolf Rd on the west and the lake front on the east? /s

I live in IL-13, and can attest that Rodney Davis absolutely thinks you’re stupid, where “you” = “whoever’s votes he’s courting at the time.”

Yep. These ads are incoherent rambling. If this is all they’ve got, Miller is toast.
