Today, Rodney Davis’ campaign for Congress in the 15th District released a new ad titled “Coddle,” which highlights Mary Miller’s disturbing record, including her rhetoric that has encouraged illegal immigration and her allowing a convicted pedophile to serve as her personal driver and represent her at community events.
“Mary Miller and her DC allies are lying about Rodney Davis because they are trying to hide Miller’s disturbing record. Just like Joe Biden, Miller says it’s our responsibility to care of illegal immigrants. Miller even has a convicted pedophile working on her campaign, and she refuses to answer questions about it. Mary Miller isn’t who she says she is. She’s a fake conservative and can’t be trusted.” - Aaron DeGroot, Davis campaign spokesperson
Rodney: I’m Rodney Davis, and I approved this message.
Narrator: Fake conservative Mary Miller has DC insiders lying about Rodney Davis to hide her disturbing record.
Like Biden, Miller coddles criminal illegals and says it’s our responsibility to care for them.
Miller knowingly hired a convicted pedophile to be her driver, prowling our neighborhoods, putting our kids at risk.
Giving aid to criminals who illegally cross our border, embracing a convicted pedophile. Fake conservative Mary Miller can’t be trusted.
* Alexi Giannoulias fundraising appeal…
Dear Rich,
With less than three weeks before Election Day, we released our final television ad of the campaign today.
And, yes, the kids finally get their ice cream. […]
The ad — entitled “Double Scoop” — is the fourth of the series that features me teaching a group of kids the fundamentals of basketball and teamwork.
While our first two ads highlight my plans to modernize the office to cut down wait times and protect voter rights and expand registration opportunities, this one focuses on how I intend to curb political corruption by strengthening ethics laws.
As I say in the ad, “political corruption… it’s like ice cream. If you don’t act fast enough, it can get really messy.”
While fake conservative Mary Miller sided with DC liberals to defund our military and oppose pay increases for our troops, she was also getting rich at taxpayer expense. Miller’s family business pocketing $1 million in government bailouts, on top of her six-figure taxpayer-funded salary. Enriching herself with taxpayer money, abandoning our troops. Not Right. Not conservative. That’s the real Mary Miller. Illinois Values PAC is responsible for the content of this advertising.
=Miller says it’s our responsibility to care of illegal immigrants.=
I don’t think it will ever become less unnerving to see Christians attacking each other over caring for immigrants.
Matthew 25:34-35 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.”
The Davis ad is interesting. The idea that he believes that he can convince voters that Miller is a liberal says a lot about his views of the district’s voters.
Quite the show being put on by Davis and Miller. Both are attacking the other for not being as big an obnoxious and hateful radical conservative as the other.
-Quite the show being put on by Davis and Miller.-
Yep. “I’ll be more awful to immigrants than she is” is an interesting platform. And I have no doubt that she would be plenty awful to them in her own right.
=This is not true and not supported. They are both descent people.=
Much can be said about Rep. Shimkus, but his office at least had the heart to call me back and discuss ways to help immigrants in detention at the southern border back in 2017/2018. I don’t trust Miller or Davis to even consider doing the same.
-Much can be said about Rep. Shimkus, but his office at least had the heart to call me back-
Yep he looks like a statesman compared to these two. And he did maintain good constituent service, while I understand that Miller’s in particular is nonexistent, particularly south of Effingham.

Isn’t it curious how DeGroot and Davis attack Miller over GOP bona fides and yet were happy to put Avery Bourne on the Irvin ticket?
=== Some might call it a real lame night. Some. Not me, but some might.===
So I’m more clear;
It won’t be a lame night (lame duck night), it will be a night where Mary Miller will be in Congress representing part of Illinois and one who all but cheered an insurrection “in real time”… and Bourne, a lame duck in the House, but stalling her career, “wasted talent” quickly comes to *my* mind, and sure Bourne could make a ton of money with Griffin’s help, maybe lobby, “think tank” silliness too… but “she’s out”, and could’ve easily been in either chamber of the ILGA.
I don’t worry about Davis too much, but the wasted talent of Bourne with a loss in the primary, that’s a shame of it, not the lame of it.
===And he did maintain good constituent service===
Set up by Rodney Davis.

I truly enjoy her candidacy & hope she wins that north side seat. I love her ad; it shows us her background & how she had a working class childhood & how she’s a professional, having run a nonprofit to help people. 👍🏼
Rodney Davis. Sigh. Those ads are so disingenuous. I mean I can’t stand Mary Miller, but geez, lie much Rodney? As they say, a pox on both their houses. Can they both lose?
- Cool Papa Bell - Wednesday, Jun 8, 22 @ 3:58 pm:
I’ve said this about Davis in the past. But I’m so disappointed in who he’s become. It’s not the Rodney that ran the first race. Or if it is he hid it so well back then. It’s a shame what’s he’s decided is needed to continue to be a Congressman.
Depending on which of them wins the primary…sure…IF enough folks vote for the Dem candidate for that district in the General. That candidate, BTW, is Paul Lange. If Davis wins the primary, I’m sure there will be little support from the Dem Party to help Lange out. But if Miller wins, will that attitude change going into the General? Having an ineffective Davis warming a seat in the House is just a bit different than MAGA Miller doing the same.
“The DCCC won’t send any cash, no matter who wins the GOP primary”
And, the DCCC will aid in the “investment” of another term of either Davis or Miller. At least I’ll have a choice in the General to vote my opposition to Trump-lite Davis or MAGA Miller depending in the outcome of the Primary.
The last paragraph in this article is a good summation- “‘America is a great country, and we’re great because people from so many different backgrounds can and do participate,’ he notes. ‘That greatness is at risk when significant groups, in significant numbers, don’t participate as they could.’”

This seat is a “Primary” seat.
The likeliest, “best” outcome is the “Dem” loses by 15 points instead of 30 points.
The DCCC won’t send any cash, no matter who wins the GOP primary….

It’s about 218.
That’s the ball game.
Ceding that district helps win in MI, or PA, or NC, or OH.
The seat is drawn Red. Davis, and especially Miller, they know that securing the base is everything. No worry to a middle pivot.
Vote as you feel, no one is stopping you, but…
