Pritzker antes up for fall campaign with $5.5 million to top Dem committees
Monday, Aug 22, 2022 - Posted by Rich Miller * A-1 contribution disclosure reports filed in the past few days show that Gov. JB Pritzker’s campaign committee has given $1.5 million to the Democratic Party of Illinois, $1 million to the Senate Democrats’ ISDF, and $3 million to the Democrats for the Illinois House. Fairly sure there’s more to come.

This kind of money is someone “loaning you a stamp to mail a birthday card” kind of money.

Where were you guys in 2018? Or 2020, when Harmon took over as Senate Prez? Or last year during the State Central Committee drama? Or a month ago, during the State Central Committee drama? Democrats are regularly distressed about a billionaire buying their party and trying to show some independence from him. It’s just that he governs the way they like enough to mollify the issue most of the time.
