If you are free tomorrow, show up at the Springfield Oyster and Beer Festival. Good beer, good oysters, and helping a good cause: Central Illinois Ronald McDonald Houses. At 835 Inn on 2nd St.
Looks like we are headed for a beautiful weekend. Lots of yard work to catch up on. The recent rain we had got the grass growing again, so will have to mow for the first time in a while.
I read in Crains Paul Vallas hired some well known talent to run his campaign. Also the will be well funded. Sounds like business community stepping up. Hope it goes well i believe a change is in order
===Joe Trippi, a political veteran who served as campaign manager for Howard Dean in 2004. He also worked on presidential campaigns for Ted Kennedy, Walter Mondale, Gary Hart, Richard Gephardt, Jerry Brown and John Edwards===
Trippi couldn’t even win ONE… on accident?
(Howard Dean yell, insert here)
The possible crowded field helps Lightfoot, a candidate I’ve yet to pinpoint exactly who her constituency is, and how they continually seem to elude others like an Amoeba.
Crains referred to him as high powered talent. I just said well known which he is. Not sure who writing the headlines at Crains these days. There is a pathway for a guy like Vallas to get in runoff. Maybe his new campaign manager can get him there
The Howard Dean yell…yeah, that left a mark on him. It just didn’t sound right.
I think Wilson can take LL out; he’s black and wealthy enough to mount a serious challenge. Some of the others have no money, thus no chance. Vallas is now a ‘nobody that nobody sent’ with a campaign manager with a history of failed candidates. It’s not a good look.
Joe Trippi is more or a vendor than an organizer and a campaign manager these days. I’m not sure I would consider that news a big deal. Joe Trippi will probably continue to maintain other clients.

And it’s September (banned punctuation). The goldenrod is starting to flower, and the beekeepers in this area are ready for it so the girls can start refilling the hives with honey for the winter. Lots of black and dark brown wooly bears crossing the road lately Fall is knockin’. https://www.weather.gov/arx/woollybear#:~:text=The%20longer%20the%20woolly%20bear’s,will%20be%20coldest%20or%20hardest.
