Good article in the NYT about how Rs and Ds use divisive language. Prime example is how Mary Miller portrays herself as this wholesome rural American, then spits vitriol every chance she gets.
Props to ‘Vote Yes For Workers’ Rights” for sending me a text, addressed to my kid, that implies they asked for a vote by mail ballot when they haven’t.
That will not help with folks being concerned about election integrity at all.
(I know it is likely some sort of data error, but still, if you are thinking that shenanigans are going to happen, this just plays to that)
great post Friday on the Illinois Gaming announcement of 565$ million gross revenue from August. but can we predict the net yet. if this trend continues we will be able to reduce the pe pension issue and help education in life of property tax.
I encourage readers adopt a pet from their local shelter. If they can’t adopt, then consider financially supporting their shelter. There’s plenty of pets awaiting their forever home and they can all be Good Boys (or Girls).

Enjoying the weather in beautiful DuPage County today. It will be snowing soon enough, but this is what October should be.
But two more weeks until the election? Can’t be over soon enough for me.

“Hard to believe that he’ll be ten next month…”
Where has the time gone? Seems like it was just a few months ago that my oldest daughter was getting on the bus to go to kindergarten, 30 years ago.

Voted by mail. Done. Waiting for a way to prevent all political commercials, besides November 9th. Until then, mute’s a good backup.
