Huge loss to the music world. Super talented writer, arranger and singer. Ironic her music is currently part of a huge commercial for an automaker. RIP Christine

What a loss today.
For me, whenever I get the opportunity, again, for umpteenth time…
I play a vinyl copy of “Rumours”
I play it as it was intended. No skipping. Every track.
In one sitting.
Godspeed, Christine.

‘but the songbird keeps singing’
Indeed.
- 47th Ward - Wednesday, Nov 30, 22 @ 2:36 pm:
I played Rumors until the needle wore out on my turntable. What a great career she had. RIP.
- Red Ranger - Wednesday, Nov 30, 22 @ 2:46 pm:
Agree on Rumors on vinyl. Magical. That band had so much drama, chaos and pain and it resulted in such amazing music.
- Concerned Observer - Wednesday, Nov 30, 22 @ 2:50 pm:
Caught the obit just now on SiriusXM, and you know they transitioned right to Songbird. Doesn’t get more beautiful than that.
- Big Dipper - Wednesday, Nov 30, 22 @ 2:52 pm:
It’s too bad that Lindsey and Stevie couldn’t work out their issues in time to do a farewell tour with the classic lineup. For the last 25 years they were missing either Christine or Lindsey on tour. The Rumours 20th anniversary tour in 1997 was the last time the classic lineup toured.
- H-W - Wednesday, Nov 30, 22 @ 3:53 pm:
I only saw them once. I was an 18 year old kid. They had just release Rumours, and were touring the album.
God, how I loved that band. Christine seemed to be the stable one, the core. Her songs were uniquely her, just as Buckingham and Nicks songs were uniquely theirs.
I miss those days. I will miss her too.

You forgot “Over My Head”
- Big Dipper - Wednesday, Nov 30, 22 @ 4:18 pm:
Correction there was a tour of the classic lineup in 2014-15 before Lindsey was ejected from the group and replaced on the next tour in 2018-2019 with Neil Finn and Mike Campbell.
- Amalia - Wednesday, Nov 30, 22 @ 4:21 pm:
Huge loss. Shockingly sad.
- illini - Wednesday, Nov 30, 22 @ 4:22 pm:
The time that Christine was with her three equally talented band members produced some of the very best music of my generation. And the music will last forever. Like others here I’m listening to Rumors once again.
- Pot calling kettle - Wednesday, Nov 30, 22 @ 5:26 pm:
It will be Rumors in the car and The Dance (movie of a ‘97 concert) on TV tonight. (The video is available for streaming on PBS Passport if you are a member.)
- Dotnonymous - Wednesday, Nov 30, 22 @ 5:50 pm:
I believe love songs are the best possible legacy…
- Manchester - Wednesday, Nov 30, 22 @ 5:57 pm:
Truly a great loss. We have lost so many wonderful artists this year. Time to reflect. I think I’ll pull out my vinyl copy of Rumors (brought new when it came out) and put it on the turntable, listen to how wonderful the music was and be sad that she is gone. Godspeed Christine.
- Pot calling kettle - Wednesday, Nov 30, 22 @ 9:43 pm:
correction: The Dance is no longer on PBS Passport It is available on Amazon Prime and YouTube for a fee. Worth it.
- Loop Lady - Thursday, Dec 1, 22 @ 7:41 am:
Such a great talent. Stevie and Chris’ duets were pure gold.
Saw her with Lindsey Buckingham in ‘17.
May she rest in musical peace.
