It is sad to see Congressional Representative Miller is among the U.S. House caucus disrupting the business of the Nation. Highly predictable, but sad (pathetic?) nonetheless.
Willard airport in Champaign has the unpleasant honor of refueling the plane flying the murder suspect back to Idaho. Hopefully he will never fly on a plane again or stepping foot in Illinois.
Saw that the 7 Counties and Chicago are taking another try at a regional approach to economic development with the Greater Chicagoland Economic Partnership. They all even pitched in a total of $1 million in funding this time. Probably a good idea since the last one they started in 2018 - Chicago Regional Growth Initiative - seemed to struggle with funding issues.

Good news on Calvin Butler, Jr. becoming the new President and CEO of Commonwealth Edison as it first African American President and the 7th CEO of a Fortune 500 company.
A graduate of Bradley University and Washington University’s Law School, he brings a reputation of having the kind of ethical approach to business that should go a long way to change the culture that lead to the recent Madigan indictments.
In the Big Ten battle for Illinois, Northwestern easily beat the Illini. Not sure what’s going on with the Illini this year–they beat Texas and UCLA. It’s still early in the conference, but an 0-3 start is not where I thought they’d be.
Steve Rogers, regarding Illini’s loss last night and the prior disturbing loss to Mizzou, I would refer you to the scene in 1989’s Major League film to the brief discussion had by the two groundskeepers whilst fixing up the pitching mound in which the words were put in subtitles on the screen as the two men were speaking another language and I cannot repeat what they said in this forum. However, if you go to Google images and type in “Major League They’re Still GIF” you can see what I mean.

Insanity is doing the same failed thing over and over. Patriots have had enough of the RINO establishment. That’s what Real America voted for. /s

What about those of us with a more Southern Illinois-centric mind? #GoDawgs

We’re back to more normal temperatures in central Illinois, so less threat of tornadoes the rest of the week.
And I was just getting used to the , 50 and 60 days …

I could really use a laugh. It seems like centuries since Rich has held a caption contest.
