There is a proposal to build a 24,000 seat Cricket Stadium in Oswego.
Going to say if Oswego takes a pass Aurora should offer up the ‘Bears site’ or someplace by the outlet mall where the casino is going. It seems like it would be a good fit.
The comments on Facebook break down to, no one is going to go here, OMG traffic and why build anything corn fields are fine.
Yeah, saw that. Off of Orchard, on the other side of town… with no parking, no infrastructure to support traffic, should be interesting to see how this plays out, the comparisons to the UC (in size and scope) is crazy.
Bob is correct. Carol Stream and West Chicago have pitches set up. South Elgin now has a youth pitch. Maybe this is more of a Warrenville thing (or North Haverbrook).

Just watched a couple thousand people jump in a Great Lake. One of the happier crowds I’ve ever been around in Chicago.

That’s some smartly snarky, lol
We have open meetings in this country, so let’s see how this works, but there are some things needing addressing.

Cricket is pretty darn popular in the west suburbs. Might bring some money into the village.
Also- this is adjacent to the Caterpilar factory, so not entirely a residential area.
