Congressman Mike Bost’s campaign has released its second television advertisement of the 2024 election cycle this week. The ad, titled “Secure America,” will air district-wide on cable, broadcast, and satellite television, as well as on streaming services.
a) it’s a special kind of insane that a representative from Illinois has decided to make an entire commercial about the Mexican border, but
b) judging from exit polls of Republican primary voters, it’s their top concern no matter where in the country they are, so it’s the right kind of insane.
Also notably referring to Trump as “President”, just to get the extra J6ers without having to say it.
That font is straight out of a 80s VHS cover featuring Arnold or Stallone. The faux machismo these jokers love to pretend they have would be amusing if it wasn’t so dangerous.

At least, Bost isn’t charging out of his house with an automatic weapon and shooting a tree like his opponent.
