weather planning for the next few days…fire notice for burbs, rain hail possible tornado, snow. oh my.

I see where former State Representative Dwight Kay is now running in a primary election for a Madison County board seat. I seem to recall that, if elected, serving on the county board would not allow him to receive his legislative pension. Any experts out there want to share their expertise on this question?
Insurance hell for family member. why isn’t it clear that Medicare is primary and additional insurance secondary. over and over we explain. with the Lurie Childrens system breakdown it makes one very afraid of the record keeping systems anywhere in healthcare. keep checking your records.
I realize there may not be an official ISP statement yet, but you need to do a post on the State Trooper who took out the wrong way driver on I-72 last night before someone was killed. He literally risked his life to save everyone else’s.
And here’s hoping he doesn’t have a ton of paperwork to get a replacement squad car.
Not an expert , but using the IMRF provision below as an analogy. would guess is that Mr. Kay could keep collecting his State pension , but might be prohibited from participating in IMRF ( If Madison Co Board members are eligible )
“Employment status of elected officials - Member may be working as an elected official if he or she has not earned service credit for that elected office and has chosen not to participate in IMRF with respect to that elected office.”

My time living in the South leads me to believe the correct grammatical form here would be “all y’all.”

If February goes out like a lion, does that mean March will be a lamb? I’m hoping so, but time will tell. Have a good week.
