Congressman Mike Bost’s campaign this week has released its fifth television advertisement of the 2024 election cycle. The ad, titled “Bost Results,” will air district-wide on cable, broadcast, and satellite television, as well as on streaming services.
Geez. I guess no one will question whether the mailer is AI or not.
As to the TV ad, if a democrat were to run, that would be an easy ad to attack - the continuation of MAGA line is the core issue. But since it is only Bost v. Bailey, having Trump’s voice over is very helpful.
And yet, something still tells me Bailey could win if he plays this correctly.
If that negative attack sticks to him, Bailey could be done in politics once and for all. That’d be a nice outcome as far as I am concerned. One mailer isn’t enough to tag him as a Trump traitor, but I like where Bost is going with it. Well played.
So Bost left the SOTU speech last night at the point where Dark Brandon said the state of the union was good and getting better. What was he afraid of? Calling Darren Bailey.

They think Darrin Bailey has a suit?
- Henry Francis - Friday, Mar 8, 24 @ 11:32 am:
What’s silliest to me is how much they slimmed down Trump.
- JS Mill - Friday, Mar 8, 24 @ 11:36 am:
A+ for the district.

Um, that would be a worthless attack in our district though it may garner attention and money from outside the district.

Grade A work.
Trump, babies, guns, farmers, cops, white people.
Speaks to his base. Perfection.
- Jocko - Friday, Mar 8, 24 @ 11:53 am:
A for its target audience.
I love the ad referencing right to life then, without a trace of irony, touting his 2A bona fides

A+ career politician has endorsements
Bost want the anti trump democrats voting for Bailey
- Baloneymous - Friday, Mar 8, 24 @ 12:05 pm:
Cornfields, guns and camo and controlling women. A+ ad for his rural MAGA constituents.
- Gravitas - Friday, Mar 8, 24 @ 12:24 pm:
c+ or B- grade.
It is better than Bost’s earlier television spots which were totally cheap and generic.

If you’re 2A then your NOT “pro-life”.
- Lurker - Friday, Mar 8, 24 @ 3:39 pm:
Trump will like they made him look so slim but look at the size of those fingers. Trump doesn’t like small hand references.
And Bailey running or dressed like a professional is a toss up of improbabilities.

Rate D for disingenuous.
That can’t be Darren Bailey. There’s no sleeveless vest, no rolled up shirt sleeves, and no toothy grin.
