During the 2nd trial for the same murder, due to SA/prosecutorial misconduct at the first trial leading to a mistrial - a retiring Will County judge who decided to issue a pre-trial release ruling on his last day on the job purely out of spite for the SAFE-T act, had his ruling vacated by another judge yesterday.
The initial ruling was so poorly made, even the defense attorney wasn’t happy with the ruling - which was in favor of his client.
–[Judge] Carlson lamented state officials telling judges to “follow their rules”–
Poor judge. He was upset he had to follow the law, and out of spite made a ruling which released a murder defendant in a motorcycle gang back into the public.
This is not isolated either. In a previous case of his which was also vacated, he spent his time criticizing the appellate courts who sent his own previous case back to him to try to do it right. The description of this judges behavior in the appeal is quite frankly disturbing. It’s worth a read.
Boycott the White Sox. Nothing will change unless they are hit in the pocket book. Then maybe, just maybe, we might see change on the south side. Right now, calling them a dumpster fire is an insult to dumpsters…
Statehouse Mysteries: If former Rep Walker had known the House was going to cancel this weekend would he have sought the appointment to the no-weekend session Senate?
@low level What happened that upsets you, in particular? the play has been better lately especially the pitching. I’m seeing signs of hope for the White Sox
