As we’ve already discussed, the attorney general has sued Local Government Information Services over their publishing of the data. I’m still looking through the omnibus bill. Have you found anything?

I’d love to see Timpone’s other data mining site, Blockshopper, shut down as well due to not having a way to opt out from their database like every other broker and aggregator. Like with BIPA’s original structure (that is unfortunately about to change), this is an area where Illinois can lead by requiring data brokers to allow for opt-out.
