The Interchange Fee Prohibition Act is retailer backed legislation that would disrupt the electronic payment system that Illinois consumers rely upon to transact business in a safe and convenient manner.

Impacted industries responsible for implementing the change were left out of negotiations, and the result is bad public policy.
