Enjoying the cooler weather here in beautiful DuPage County the last couple of days. Hitting 90 last week was too much for September. A few of the trees are starting to show some color, which is more in line with the calendar. Life is good.

Have had almost 2.75 inches of much needed rain since Sunday. Farmers probably don’t need the fields wet for harvest but wow did we need rain.
It appears the Sox will soon officially be the worst team in history. I am glad they are breaking this record because everyone needs to know how bad this team really was in the future. The 62 Mets were an expansion team and was thrown together with a bunch of cast offs from the other teams. Shame on Reinsdorf for letting this team get so bad.
Saw my first presidential tv ad in Illinois in a long time. It was a Harris-Walz ad. It was on WIFR channel 23, Rockford. I’m sure it was meant for their southern Wisconsin audience especially Beloit and Janesville.
dear everybody driving today in the Chicago area: if you are first in line, go. do not use your phone, stop being afraid of rain. drive. It’s a nightmare out there today.

Perfect rain. Tougher for farmers looking to harvest. But, still it was needed.

Crops are coming in very well. Beans and corn alike are testing well above their usual bushels/acre.

Will the White Sox become the worst team in baseball history tonight or stay tied?

We’ve got all of the gloom of rain but little of the moisture.
I don’t care for it.

Second Joan’s comment. So much rain and fog that the Hancock building is completely invisible.
