Good morning, Rich. Heading to the Supersite in the Loop to vote this morning. Read through Injustice Watch’s Cook County Judicial Election Guide, which is enormously helpful when there are something like 70 judges up for retention.
Other than that - still concerned about the Illini’s second half defensive collapse against Purdue. I’m not very optimistic about Michigan on Saturday, but they play the games for a reason.
Finally had to turn the heat on. Can’t remember how long it’s been since I ran the air conditioner. I’m kind of excited to get the next Ameren bill. Should be peanuts.

If you’re downtown, walk on over to check out the deconstruction of the Thompson Center. A lot of mixed emotions here for a longtime employee.
The Illini collapse versus Purdue was honestly astonishing to see live and on replay. Had Purdue hung on to win after they took the lead, this would’ve been pretty easily the biggest collapse of the season across the NCAA and almost assuredly booted us out of the rankings for the rest of the season.
Thankfully, we avoided that. An ugly win to make us 5-1 is certainly better than an ugly loss, so can’t complain too much.
