Robert Jones and Rhymefest finally started putting signs out a few days ago.
You’d think the School Board Election was the only one happening. Probably no surprise, though, as there really isn’t much else happening in my neighborhood.
We are back from another weekend canvassing the swingy precincts in Wisconsin.
Trump is more proactive in the exurbs and rural areas. There we saw flags, trucks parading through downtowns, and whole neighborhoods lined with Trump yard signs. Meanwhile, the suburban Milwaukee center-right base has diminished much like it has in Lake and DuPage. The straight-line Republican voters still in those areas would not say his name to us or hint they were leaning that direction. The more subtle “Lean Harris” voters we encountered at least gave us a wink or some sign they were voting for her.
Restoration PAC still has some outdoor advertising along I-94, I-43, and I-41, but it seems their biggest buy was ahead of early voting and registration deadlines. The Harris messaging is more apparent now than it was a few weeks ago, but its pull through leaves much to be desired.
Saw a “Back the Blue” yard sign distributed by the local right-wing talk radio station in the same yard as a Harris-Walz yard sign.
Also saw a lot of last-minute anti-Sharon Chung TV commercials over the weekend with her playing the violin in the corner of Titanic imagery. Seemed a bit too busy of an ad to me.

For those that might not know, In Our Time is an amazing BBC Radio program/podcast.
They just did an excellent episode on the 1886 Haymarket bombing in Chicago.

It’s like Shroedinger’s election. As long as we don’t open the box and look at the results, I can hope the cat is still alive.
When we collapse the superposition tomorrow, we either have a nice alive cat or a rotting corpse, and I’m scared.

I’m liking the I Voted stickers in Michigan and think we need to do the same. I’m looking at you Matt Dietrich. Make this happen(bp)
