Shameful attacks upon two Jewish students at De Paul University Lincoln Park campus and congregants and guests at the Chicago Loop Synagogue on Clark Street.
Our political leaders must condemn these bad actors and, if necessary, prosecute them for hate crimes.
The McLean County Board GOP candidate signs around Bloomington-Normal have all morphed into green “Dan Brady for Mayor” signs overnight. Wish we got more of a break from one election season to the next.
It’d be nice to find out if the messaging that the Illinois dems went with was based off of polling data or other surveys, or if they just decided what the biggest issues they should run on were without really talking to the people they wanted to have vote for their candidates, or decided to just mimic national messaging or themes that were reinforced from the online bubbles their staff exist in.
Dogood, I prefer a representative to tell me what he or she stands for and what they support. I don’t want them to just do polling and then from that say that’s what they want, just to get elected. I want representatives with principles.

I only sort of agree with moved east. Reps should say what they stand for and then I will vote, or not for them. If I lived in a Maga district that’s the kind of rep that would get elected. That rep would never vote my principles and I would not expect them to.

Banish, Mary Miller is my congress critter and her husband is my State Rep. You just summed up my entire existence.
So the 150 union guys may be looking at ways to Trump proof the Davis Bacon Act in IL. I’d tell them to pound sand. From talking with my friends in unions, 65%+ voted for Trump and the GOP. You reap what you sow!

Good luck with that.

Banish, but we also should have Representatives represent what their constituents want. After all, represent is in the name.

Those 65+% will be the first to run to the union if the Repubs go after the unions nationwide.
