I’m hoping Rich or one of the readers here can help bring some attention to the plight of Rose Lawn Cemetery in Moline. The cemetery has been under the care of a court appointed Receiver for 17 years now. He is now 74 years old. In his latest news letter he writes he is “willing to continue while I can” and that he has “once again made it known to the Office of the Comptroller that they need to formulate a plan for when I petition the court to be released from my duties.” He also reported that thieves have struck the cemetery twice in the past year.

The Rest is History live show tour comes to the Vic Theatre in Chicago tonight. I am sure Chicago and Illinois history will feature.

I’m a big Rest is History fan but somehow missed the news they were coming to Chicago. And the show is sold out, dang it.
