Cold as heck here in beautiful DuPage County this morning. No real need to go anywhere today, but was thinking of visiting the library if it hits double digit degrees later. Still a bit of snow on the ground so it looks pretty nice overall….
Front page of Trib today: “Can Chicago make streets safe for walking, cycling to school?” Story takes up all news portion of page 2, and page 3 they interview student cyclists.
Wonder if this is related to the kerfuffle their Editorial page started with comments about road diets causing traffic issues in a recent Kennedy Expressway editorial?

What is the deal for why most of the Capitol Complex parking lots, especially the V lot used by most rank and file State Employees in the complex, is still in atrocious condition over a week after the blizzard? It looks like the lot was never salted at all.
All while shopping center parking lots were clear of most snow and ice last Tuesday. And there is more snow for tomorrow morning for central Illinois. Why can’t state employees have a safe walk from their vehicles to work?
