Statehouse insiders and employees: I was at the Howlett cafeteria earlier this week and I saw a note stating that “due to supply issues” (or something like that), they will not be serving the regular Wednesday chicken dinner in the Howlett cafe today. FYI.
Federal Employee here freaking out about getting RIF’d after the Fork.

Ald. Sigcho Lopez was an embarassment yesterday and being allowed to harrass several friends of mine who came to peacefully testify about the art exhibit at the Cultural Center that is antisemitic was a disgrace.
Watching Musk go after the NOAA. Because it is concerned about climate change, it is science and it can be privatized so that you have to have a subscription to get the tornado warnings…maybe.
Alderman Byron Sigcho-Lopez says he’s concerned about deportations targeting members of his community. Yet he won’t shut up about international issues for which he has no power. Complaining in he Trib about so much time being wasted on this issue is crazy and hypocritical. How much time was wasted on him and his caucus debating a meaningless resolution on the war in Gaza last year? The amount of anti-semitism stirred up by him and his caucus is absolutely shameful. Not to mention the allegations of sexual harassment against this so-called “progressive”. He needs to go. He should expect well-organized and heavily funded opponent in 2027.

Good luck to the neighbors to the north. We are luckily not in the “icing alley”.
