I have the fortunate distinction of being recognized by Chuckie Kirk as one of America’s Most Dangerous Professors. Seriously. Imagine that - someone at Western Illinois University is a threat to one of America’s Best Grifters. I feel truly honored. But unfortunately, he doesn’t give out plaques. Cheapo.
I see that Northwestern may lose lots of funding. DOE is also not sending promisedfunds to at least 25 districts in Illinois. I think our local district will have a 1.9 million dollar hole to figure out how to cover.
How much of the “University of Illinois” crowd at Illinois State University was there to watch the snake oil salesman just for laughs I wonder. I don’t think there were many buyers.
Aaron Cahill, one of the regular public speakers recently during Springfield City Council meetings, just announced at the end of his speech at last night’s Committee of the Whole Meeting that he will challenge Misty Buscher for mayor in 2027:

The wind is blowing from a southerly direction, but it’s not the usual warmer wind. But, will not complain too much, given the storms happening repeatedly in other places.

Right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk was in Normal yesterday preaching to college students.

Chilly and cloudy here in beautiful DuPage County this morning. Maybe it will get up to 44 degrees today. Not much of an April thusfar.
Reading some spy/mystery books lately to keep myself away from the news. Mick Herron has some good ones.

Lousy day for a ballgame. We’ll see if they get it in. Rea better be ready to piggyback if a long delay knocks Shota out early.

Would not enjoy sitting at the table explaining the procurement code to lawmakers, they are clearly not amused or buying explanations.
