Monday, Apr 28, 2025 - Posted by Rich Miller * I saw this band in 1978 when they opened for Styx. My best friend and I went to that show specifically to see Thin Lizzy… Don’t believe a word What’s happening in your local world?

Thin Lizzy had some great songs but I was just never a fan of Phil’s voice. I wish I would have seen them live as they always seemed so energetic.
Also, I was surprised to see his statue in Dublin. That voice certainly didn’t sound Irish to me

Looking forward to a terrific day here in beautiful DuPage county, sunny with a high of 80. Flowers are blooming, trees are leafing out. Life is good.

Lurker, check out “Emerald” or “Whisky in a Jar”–as Irish as it gets.

Rich- big fan of your Friday play us out videos, and def fan of random musical interludes as well. I don’t want to muddy the importance of the Friday cut, but I wouldn’t mind a daily dose of Rich’s musical tastes.

Gorgeous day on the south side. Mid-70s by early afternoon and the sun is out.
Fun weekend - went to A Clay Sermon, Theaster Gates’ 12-hour fundraiser for the Rebuild Foundation. I was going to stay for only a couple of hours; 5 ½ hours later I finally called it a night. That guy has incredible energy.

Speculating about the power outage in Spain and Portugal.
