The Walmart article neglects to point out the other stores he’s lumping in with walmart already pay the higher wage. And they are not union-busting, law-breaking corporate fascists.

So John Filan thinks it’s ok for the state to take $1.7 million from other state accounts and put it in the general fund? His comment appears to mean that he didn’t announce the positive balance of $1.7 mil because of the reaction from us great unwashed. Does he think we are fools and can’t figure out what’s going on here. He should resign in shame for promoting this crap by pandering to the administration.

On 670 AM last weekend, I heard a spokesman addressing the situation of horses being put down at Arlington Park.
He indicated that since the purses have been lower due to increased gaming outlets in Illinois (expanding casinos, lottery, etc) the quality of the horses (training and breeding, etc) have suffered greatly, leading to more accidents.
The solution to helping the horses is to give some of the profits from the casinos to the racetracks. This will increase racing quality, and give an industry that supports 40,000+ jobs in Illinois a boost.
At that point, I had heard quite enough, and popped in a Bob Marley CD instead.

As usual Kristen hits the nail right on the head. This is almost too easy.
Maybe they should bring in Alan Keyes.

If JBT does not take the stories about the states fiscal health and the previous piece about the sick kid not being able to get medical help and go for the throat, she deserves to lose. The material is being handed to her by the platter full. The indictments stuff is small crap compared to this material. Someone hired my uncle’s friend and Cini’s signature was on a piece of paper. OK. Kid can’t get medical help, jump on it and run. Gov says finances are great but here is independent info that says 47 other states are positive while Illinois is negative. Jump on it and get to every news source you can.

Topinka’s campaign is listless and imcompetant.
