Some people think that when I say “Starve the Beast” that I’m just talking about state agencies, state universities and state funded social programs. But look at this property tax bill. I promise you, we’re going to starve local government too!
You see this letter from all those members of the General Assembly? They think they can think write me a letter to do things?! That’s bad. Boo to them.
When I lower your taxes, the schools that depend on those taxes will go down in their ratings. The schools will fail, go way down with out that funding. You’re welcome!

Amendment 1 to Senate Bill 1 gives $700 million more to Chicago schools (CPS) and has a pretend property tax relief section, subject to appropriation.

This is a letter from Eastern Illinois University. They think they’re going to be open this fall. No way, no how. Eastern is closing. You have my word… No EIU…
This is a list of all the social service organizations I closed. Awful. Absolutely awful. Not enough, not nearly enough! This is awful. More closures… More pain.
Here’s the notice that I requested THREE homeowner exemptions, and I needed to drop two. Unacceptable. I deserve three. I used one of these places to clout my daughter into Chicago schools… This was awful.
I live on the North Shore and pay probably some of the highest property taxes in Illinois but STILL not having a state budget is far worse and is what will make me leave Illinois - NOT high taxes. Having to not consider Illinois colleges for my kids because I don’t want them in a cash-strapped, starved system is criminal. So to make it clear, it is NOT THE TAXES that are making a good number of my friends and peers want OUT, it is the dysfunction of the state government.

You want the solution to inflation? Hi, friends. Marshall Rauner here for New Deal Used Cars, where we’re lowering inflation not only by fighting high prices, not only by murdering high prices, but by blowing the living (deleted) out of high prices. Yessir. Here’s an example. It’s a 1972 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, for sixty-two ninety-nine. That price is too high.
Yessir. Here’s another one. It’s a Lincoln Continental, Mark IV, 1973. It’s loaded. It’s got air conditioning. It’s got a stereo. It’s got white-wall radial tires. It’s got power steering, power brakes, power seats, power windows. And a price that is just too high. So y’all come on down. Did you hear what I said? New Deal Used Cars.
Heck, this isn’t even the goofiest pic of the Guv from the weekend. There is a Memorial Day ceremony he went to in a suit and tie (yes a tie) with a big ol cowboy hat. A white cowboy hat of course (cause he’s the good guy. MJM always wears the black cowboy hat, right?)
Here is a picture of me, still campaignin’ and not governin’. I am tweeting now as well, just like the guy whose name I wouldn’t mention during the 2016 Presidential election and still won’t mention. Yep, love this campaignin’ stuff, not so much the governin’!
Do you think on the show VEEP, newly elected Congressman Jonah Ryan was patterned after Gov. Rauner? No clue and just says whatever he wants? No filter, no substance, no nothing!
