* And speaking of the Tribune forum, Pritzker has a new digital ad…
Today, the JB Pritzker campaign released a new, statewide digital ad slamming Bruce Rauner in the words of his primary opponent, Jeanne Ives.
Ives “crushed” Rauner’s failed record at a meeting with the Chicago Tribune editorial board, demonstrating exactly why this failed governor refuses to take responsibility for his mismanagement of the state. The significant digital buy will target voters who need to hear about Rauner’s real record and make sure they see a member of Rauner’s own party calling out his failures.
“Bruce Rauner’s disastrous performance in front of the Chicago Tribune demonstrates exactly why this failed governor is running scared: even by his own metrics he has failed this state,” said Pritzker communications director Galia Slayen. “Rauner can’t defend his record, can’t present any accomplishments, and is getting taken to task by his own party for refusing to take charge as Illinois families pay the price.”

If Pritzker agrees with Jeanne Ives’ view of the governor and the state, does he also agree with her hateful views towards the LGBT community and pro-choice activists? Just curious.
That’s the best ad JB has put together, hands down. Makes Rauner look like a lunatic. The only downside is whether the casual viewer pays enough attention to know who Ives is, but it still works.

I’m guessing “no.”
You can agree with what Ives had to say about Rauner — his lies, betrayals, untrustworthiness, lack of accomplishments — without endorsing her politics. They’re just obvious, by any honest assessment.
Eh, someone being condescending just because they are condescending is different from “mansplaining.” I don’t think Rauner is particularly sexist, just a bit of an a**.

This only makes sense in simple-minded binary choice bots that would like Rauner to be absolved of all his sins (like fibbing to a Catholic Cardinal) and hold everyone else accountable for their own sins.
Complex thoughts are tough for you. Got it.

Like I said, just curious. I have a hard time with complex thoughts so any clarification is apreciated
I’m confused - half of those “interrupting” examples were just Rauner telling her not to interrupt him. Am I missing something? She did what she has to do (being down 45 points) and that was be overly aggressive and combative. For someone to pretend like Rauner was equally rude and wasn’t just there to take it on the chin and get out of there is being disingenuous.

Oh wow since when does agreeing with someones view on a failed governor mean they are supposed to agree on eberything else too?

Another great ad from Jb. A+

It seems like Rauner is “mansplaining” and talking down to Ives in that first clip.

Had to argue against the whole “even his own party hates him” angle.

What an odd thing to be curious about, LOL
To the Post,
The Rauner interrupting is excellent to frame who Rauner is and how he has no clue how he is seen. Good stuff.
Much better by the Pritzker Crew.
Take it to Rauner. You have to take it to him, and then you don’t let him up. Be pointed, be direct, pull no punches. This is much better.

Good stuff Team Pritzker, make it a Superbowl ad.

That’s JB’s best to date. Even works in two of the Rauner costumes.

You have a viewing comprehension problem.

That’s just how Bruce rolls. I’ve heard from other women participants in meetings with him, who are just ignored or belittled.
