Rich,
will you query DPH and local health departments:
Hospitals will test patients for COVID-19. I hear that in many cases if a relative, friend, or other person, who had contact
with someone who tested positive, becomes ill, the hospitals refuse to test that person and they are presumed
to be infected.
However, DPH and local public health don’t report the presumed positive numbers, so the idea is that the actual
number of infected is much larger. Can local health report on the “presumed positive” numbers?

===I hear that ===
Take a freaking second to use the Google before posting drivel here.

Thanks for graphing. Hope today is a trend.. Iowa is about 7 positive and New York a third.
- Because I said so.... - Thursday, Apr 2, 20 @ 3:53 pm:
I hope that in the days and weeks ahead, we don’t get accustomed to these numbers. They all represent individuals who leave behind grieving families and friends.

I think, in any situation like this, the leadership will be tested. However, I do not see the point of Pritzker making his rounds on cable news TV (eg CNN) to bash our federal government response. Maybe he believes him trashing the federal government will make the Trump more responsive.
It seems like he might be taken a page out of the Rahm Emanuel playbook. I think Pritzker has done well in managing Illinois in this difficult time. However, I do question if this is the best use of his time and it does seem a bit like campaigning for the future.

When the governor tweeted, he got a better response. So… it works.
Plus, he’s not wrong, facts matter.
=== It seems like he might be taken a page out of the Rahm Emanuel playbook.===
For 8 years from now? Ugh.
=== However, I do question if this is the best use of his time===
Oh, true, he could tweet and that’ll help.
===and it does seem a bit like campaigning for the future.===
Eight years… eight years from now.
Take a breath.

I think our governor is trying to put the facts out. The federal government is competing with the states for resources when they should be the front man distributing them. Plus the President is like the Lord of the Flies combined with the King from the King and I.

The effects of tweets and shows is correlated. Do not know if it is causal. Supplies has increased as Illinois’ need has increased. Just as it has in every other state. A basic supply and demand issue exists, and we are woefully unprepared for the demand.
A politician will be a politician and when he sees an opportunity to improve standing they seem to take it. Not necessarily just talking about the Presidency.

=== A politician will be a politician===
“Ok”… solid Facebook take.
In eight years, we’ll see… like.. you remember anything in 2012 that politically is significant now?
I’ll give you a min to check on Facebook.
Sheesh.

Trump’s racism goes way before that. Keep up.
The Central Park 5, for example.
You’re showing Trump “on brand”
lol
- Pritzker for Prez - Thursday, Apr 2, 20 @ 7:56 pm:
Wouldn’t disagree, just was a politically relevant event from 8 years ago. I am not your facebook, fox news, right winger that you presume. Criticism of leadership is expected during this time, and Trump and team undoubtedly deserve some of it.
Not sure if any President would have handled the unexpected without flaw though.
I am glad that your ability to call out and try to marginalize anyone that does not agree with your viewpoint was spot on tonight.
Take a chill pill, Oswego.

Same. Civil discussion not welcomed with that one.

Only to birthers… lol
=== Criticism of leadership is expected during this time, and Trump and team undoubtedly deserve some of it.===
… but your take it’s has political “upside”… for eight years from now, and a governor begging for resources he knows he doesn’t have to save lives is the vehicle for something… eight years… from now?
“Ok”
=== Not sure if any President would have handled the unexpected without flaw though.===
For the love of Pete, this administration refused to take thus seriously, saying it will magically go away… that’s not a “flaw”, that’s an administration who refused to see a crisis, take it seriously, and now refuses to manage this federal emergency though an agency designed to… manage emergencies.
This ain’t no “flaw”
=== I am glad that your ability to call out and try to marginalize anyone that does not agree with your viewpoint was spot on tonight.===
I dunno… calling the Rahm Emanuel process through the birther movement as an example of political significance outside the cataloged racism that is the Trump brand… yeah, I’ll call that out.
:)

That only makes sense if you’re an Obama birther, lol
It’s been fun sheltering in place, rent free in your head… your only comment today.

You’ve added rooms… I’m putting in a golf simulator…
If you’re a birther, it all makes sense.
Good luck with all that, I’ll be lounging in your head for a while I’m guessing.

We have 157 people of this state that have died from this disease. And I’m fairly certain that none of those families would be telling Pritzker to pipe down. The federal response has and continues to be abysmal. And we have a President calling our governor and others “complainers.” We should all be similarly outraged as Pritzker is. Pritzker speaks for those that can’t speak for themselves.
- Cadillac - Thursday, Apr 2, 20 @ 8:12 pm:
Birther? You mind explaining that nonsense?
- Cadillac - Thursday, Apr 2, 20 @ 8:14 pm:
Nevermind. I’m out. You “win”.

While your so busy mouth breathing and adding rooms for me to live in, the link we were discussing before you wanted to “interrupt”.
I know it’s about me, for you, but at least pretend you can follow along the conversation
“lol”

This is top shelf. Well said.
The politics or whatever others want attached, people are passing away and begging for resources and calling out failings by a governor to the president, factually, is very much on point.
